Motorola Moto G Philippines Price Guesstimate, Complete Specs, Features : Should Kimstore Bring It Here?
Motorola, the mobile devices business of Google, has just introduced a new budget quad core Android smartphone that would have you wishing that Motorola had a very active local office here or at least, a set of aggressive official distributors in the Philippines.
Selling for just $179 in the United States or roughly Php 7,820 with current conversion and before taxes, Motorola Moto G sports a 4.5 inch HD LCD display - underneath the scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass 3 touchscreen - and runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system sans custom skin with Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 CPU and Adreno 305 GPU based Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset. Based on Antutu CPU benchmark scores of devices running on this processor, this SoC's performance is largely similar to that of MediaTek MT6589 chip powering a lot of quad core Android phones by local companies currently.
The Snapdragon 400 chipset is complemented by 1 GB of RAM, which should be enough to efficiently handle multitasking on the device.
Users also get 8 GB of non-expandable internal storage (on the base model), 5 MegaPixel autofocus camera with LED flash, 1.3 MegaPixel front cam, and HD 720p video recorder both in front and at the back.
Apart from these swappable back and flip covers in various vibrant and youthful hues that you can pair with the handset, according to Motorola, the coolest thing about Moto G is that its non-removable 2,070 mAh Li-Ion battery delivers a staggering 24 hours of mixed usage on the device -- thanks to the power efficient processor and software tweaks that they implemented on the smartphone.
As I've mentioned, Motorola is currently not too active in the Philippines and I'm not sure if they even have official distributors of their products locally. As such, we can only rely on Kimstore, my trusted online store, to bring the Moto G to the country. Earlier, I texted Kim is she's planning to import the smartphone as a lot of my readers are emailing me about it. She said that she's thinking about it and if they are enough people who would inquire about it at her store, she'll definitely do her best to bring in and sell enough units.
Are you interested in purchasing Moto G this Yuletide, TP Friends? Do you want Kim to sell the product? Share your thoughts about this handset in this post's comments section.

Motorola Moto G features the stock Android 4.3 Jelly Bean user interface but users will get several applications and software enhancements that are unique to Motorola handsets like this new Camera app, which allows you to take photos simply by touching the display ala Windows Phone handsets and lets you quickly adjust the focus along with exposure with but a couple of swipes on screen.
