O+ Fab Elite 6.5 Inch Android Phablet Giveaway to Welcome 2014 and The Bigger Successes Ahead!
2013 proved to be a big year for TechPinas in terms of our readership, social media reach, and our partnership with various leading tech companies. I truly have a lot to be grateful for -- and I know that I have to always give thanks to all TP Friends across the globe for continuing to trust and support my blog.
Last year was truly blessed - and with your unwavering support, I am absolutely certain that the best is yet to come for TP. With all of you and our partner companies, I'm looking forward to an even bigger and grander 2014 for TechPinas, filled with in-depth yet easy-to-understand reviews, lighthearted commentary, exclusive features, first-hand accounts of landmark tech events, and generous gadget giveaways!
TP Friends, as most of you know, O+ and I capped off 2013 with a giveaway of one of the American company's biggest smartphones, the O+ 8.16. And as our way of welcoming 2014 and all the wonderful things that this new year will bring to our community, we will be raffling off an even bigger and more powerful phablet, the O+ Fab Elite!
Our friend Donder has volunteered to be the one to give everyone a chance to own this fabulous device via his own #OPlusTPWishUponAReindeer gadget bonanza! "This phablet, which pushes the boundaries of how large a flagship hybrid can be represents the very big future of TechPinas! I think your readers will be glad to own a brand new unit of O+ Fab Elite with free exclusive Sennheiser earphones," shares our trusty reindeer.
Priced at Php 18,995 and officially released last Christmas, O+ Fab Elite is the most expensive member of the American company's Fab series -- and for good reason. Not only does it have the best set of technical specifications of any device in O+'s popular phablet line but it is also, obviously, the most gorgeous.
Design-wise, O+ Fab Elite comes with a very attractive round design identity replete with very simple yet luxurious metallic accents running down the sides of the phablet and framing the 13 MegaPixel camera module at the rear. In front, we'll see the massive and very crisp 6.5-inch IPS OGS display with Full HD 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and the 5 MegaPixel front cam with BSI sensor above that -- all underneath the scratch-resistant carbon glass touchscreen that slightly curves or tapers down the edges.
In lieu of a simple back shell, users will get a free flip cover with an inch-tall window at the top where you'll see the current time and date for around 3 seconds right after the flap covers the entire glass face of the phone.
Just like other members of O+'s Fab line, O+ Fab Elite comes in this very eye-catching and unique red box retail package. Stay tuned for my unboxing and first boot video of the phablet.
Apart from the unit itself and the 3,000 mAh Li-Ion battery pack, we'll find this screen protector which O+ generously included in the package for free.
We also have this microUSB to USB cable for connecting the phablet to your Mac or PC.
Of course, you'll get the User Manual for everything there is to know about the device.
The charger with foldable prongs making it easy to keep in the pocket should you want to always carry it with you.
Finally, we have these Sennheiser earphones giving users an enhanced music listening experience on the phablet.
Apart from the flagship-level limited edition release O+ Imagine, O+ Fab Elite is the only device in O+'s line-up to ship with these free earphones made by the award-winning German audio company, Sennheiser, specifically and exclusively for O+ handsets.
As previously disclosed on TP, O+ Fab Elite sports a Quad Core 1.5 GHz ARM Cortex A7 and 357 MHz PowerVR SGX 544MP based MediaTek MT6589T system on chip running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of ROM that can easily be expanded via microSD card slot supporting up to 64GB. These powerhouse innards combine to give the phablet a high Antutu benchmark score of 15,342 upon our latest testing. This remarkable result is well-reflected by the very smooth and stutter-free gaming, web-browsing, and overall touch experience that we get from the device.
Just like Dasher, Dancer, Cupid, Comet, Prancer, Vixen, and Blitzen, Donder has chosen to give away his brand-new O+ Fab Elite via Rafflecopter! If you've joined the contests of all the other reindeer last year, you should already know how this works
