Sony PlayStation 4 Philippines Price and Release Date, Officially Announced!
Sony Philippines is taking gaming to a whole new level as it unveils its newest and much-anticipated next-generation gaming console! TP friends, check out the all-new PlayStation 4!
TechPinas was privileged to be one of the first few to see, feel and experience the PlayStation 4 as Sony Philippines launched the PS4 at the Glorietta Activity Center last January 14. During the event, a fun demonstration of the PS4 opened doors to an incredible journey of new gaming worlds and connected gaming community in astounding levels.
We saw celebrity showdowns from of the most popular UAAP basketball players, local actors and other athletes. That segment featured PS4 games NBA2K14, Just Dance, and Need for Speed.

We have always strived to give consumers the best experience in home entertainment, which includes the thrilling roster of PlayStation. It is with great pride that we bring the newest PlayStation 4 in the market today," shared Sony Philippines' President and Managing Director, Mr. Yasushi Asaoka.
So what exactly is new with the PS4, you might ask? Brace yourselves as TP unveils what the PS4 has to offer!
PS4 is a next generation computer entertainment system that redefines rich and immersive game play with powerful graphics, speed, deeply integrated social capabilities and innovative second-screen features utilizing devices such as PlayStation Vita. Also, by making the best games from top game developers available on the PS4 platform, combined with its powerful hardware, Sony is going to redefine your gaming experience. It will even let you hardcore gamers share your unique gaming experiences with just a press of a button, with the help of the DualShock 4 wireless controller!
The DualShock 4 is quite similar to its predecessor, but with new features including the Share button which lets you upload videos of your gaming experiences. It also has the new clickable touch pad located on the center of the controller. Say goodbye to the old START and SELECT buttons as they were combined to the new OPTIONS button!
The DualShock 4 is also available in three colors (Jet Black, Magma Red, and Wave Blue).
The PlayStation 4 comes with its collection of mini-games available through The PlayRoom. Play Air Hockey with friends or bond with Asobi and the AR Bots with the use of the PlayStation Camera (sold separately).
The PlayStation 4, which should now be available nationwide, retails at Php 24,999 for just the standard console package and at Php 26,999 with the camera. Sony is also now generously offering customers additional one year warranty coverage in countries where the PS4 has been officially released.
