O+ Imagine Glass-Clad Android Smartphone Giveaway : One of the Most Beautiful and Elegant Handsets Available
As a tech blogger, I've seen and owned many, many beautiful smartphones - the Gold iPhone 5S, Sony Xperia Z1 and Z Ultra, LG G2, and many others - and I can safely say that O+ Imagine can stand shoulder to shoulder with all of those gorgeous devices and not feel a bit shy. I mean, just take a look at it.
For me, it was love at first sight. I first saw O+ Imagine in the flesh during the second week of December 2013 in a pre-Christmas meeting I had with our friends from the American company. I saw it resting on the table and I was instantly smitten. "Is that O+ Imagine? Your new flagship? Can I hold it?"
Flaunting a glass-metal-glass sandwich design language similar to that of Sony Xperia Z1 but with glossy plastic caps for a more svelte edge-to-edge glass look, O+ Imagine - I believe - is the perfect handset for consumers who don't mind paying a bit more if only to get the most beautiful gadgets that their money can possibly purchase.
But it's hardly all looks no substance. For one, O+ Imagine feels incredibly solid and durable when you hold it in your hand. The frame itself is made of real metal while both faces feature scratch-resistant and shatter-proof carbon glass. Grasping the handset, you'd feel like it's just one block of solid glass.
In my eyes, what makes O+ Imagine totally attractive is that it is a combination of beauty and brains. It's stunning on the outside and equally powerful in the inside. The phone runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system with a Quad Core 1.5 GHz ARM Cortex A7 CPU and 357 MHz PowerVR SGX GPU based MediaTek MT6589 Turbo chipset and has 2 GB of RAM and a whopping 32 GB of non-expandable internal storage.
The combination of these powerhouse innards give O+ Imagine an Antutu Benchmark Score of 15,413 and 5,638 on Quadrant Standard. Obviously, these aren't as high as the scores of competing devices running on a new Octa Core chipset but, interestingly, the touch response and gaming performance of O+ Imagine is not really all that different from those phones -- especially if you're not really into playing all too specs-intensive games.
As I've shared, O+ Imagine delivers stutter-free Temple Run 2, Sonic Dash, Raging Thunder 2, Candy Crush Saga, Zombie Tsunami, and Need For Speed Most Wanted game play. Of course, it follows that social networking apps like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram all run flawlessly on the device. Web-browsing and multimedia play are likewise a breeze.
Are there some cool features that are unique to this release? Yup! Like all Android smartphones from the American company, O+ Imagine comes with Air Shuffle technology that permits touch-less mobile experience allowing users to browse photos, take images, and play music files simply by waving a hand in front of the phone's display. This - I find - is particularly useful for taking selfies with friends using the phone's main camera or for browsing photos while you're eating and your fingers are too oily and you don't want to touch your phone's glass touchscreen. On top of Air Shuffle, Imagine is the first phone from O+ to come with "Double Tap Home Button to Turn Off or Turn On Display" feature allowing you to dim or light the screen without clicking on the power button.
And you also get free Sennheiser Earphones! Music-lovers would be glad to know that O+ Imagine ships with free Sennheiser earphones specifically made for this release. Sennheiser is an award-winning and legendary German audio company that specializes in producing and manufacturing a wide range of consumer and high-fidelity audio products including microphones, earphones, and telephony accessories. It follows that their earphones shipping with high-end O+ smartphones like Imagine deliver an enjoyable, above average audio performance highlighted by clarity of sound regardless of the pitch and frequency.
Is O+ Imagine the right Android smartphone for you? If you desire a handset that's a true head-turner - one with an effortlessly beautiful design and stunningly gorgeous display - and you don't mind spending a bit more to get it, O+ Imagine is the ideal device for you. Sure, it's more expensive than some releases having the same internal specifications but the extra that you're paying for here is really the highly-elegant and sophisticated design identity that it flaunts. And it doesn't hurt that the release is no push-over when it comes to actual performance. I'd say O+ Imagine covers all bases and meets the requirements of most consumers but its strongest suit would definitely be its looks.
Time for another giveaway from TechPinas and O+! As promised, we're giving away yet another O+ Imagine unit with free Sennheiser Earphones! The complete retail package! We've decided to do it again via Rafflecopter. I'm sure most of you are already familiar with how this works. Just send as many entries per day via the widget below:

Firing O+ Imagine up, you will be greeted by the incredibly clear 5-inch Full HD display. O+ tells me it's IPS OGS but when I look at it carefully and compare it with the screens of my other phones, I think it's really SuperAMOLED, which could very well be the case.
The handset sports a 13 MegaPixel camera at the back with autofocus, LED flash, and BSI sensor for improved low light performance. In front, above the display, you'll find a secondary 5 MegaPixel cam, which also has BSI Sensor for clear and vibrant selfies. I've already posted sample photos taken using the phone's dual cameras in TP's O+ Imagine full review. Kindly use the search bar above to get to the entry.
