Gionee Philippines To Launch Flagship Android Smartphone Gionee ELife E7 on March 30 in SM Mall Of Asia
Last year, Chinese electronics manufacturer Gionee Communication started operations in the Philippines and brought its initial batch of Android smartphone models to the country.
Since then, the company has managed to attract its own loyal Pinoy fanbase and has even set-up its own social media accounts where it can communicate with the local community. In fact, as of writing, Gionee Philippines already has 6,478 likers on Facebook.
TP Friends, to kick off 2014, Gionee will be holding its first major consumer event in the country where they will formally introduce their 2014 flagship Android smartphone to all Filipino gadget fans.
At 11 o'clock in the morning on March 30, 2014 - that's already this coming Sunday - the Chinese OEM will officially launch the powerhouse Gionee Elife E7 at the Activity Center of SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City. Looking at e-posters promoting the event, it appears that it will be open to the public so you can actually go there, check out the phone, and even get exciting freebies!
Unveiled at MWC 2014, Single-SIM handset Gionee Elife E7 is equipped with a 5.5 inch Full HD IPS LCD screen underneath its scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass 3 touchscreen and sports a 16 MegaPixel autofocus camera with LED flash, 8 MegaPixel front cam, and 1080p 30fps video recorder. The device is powered by a non-removable 2,500 Li-Po battery, which - I think - could be bigger considering the size of the screen and the phone's internal specifications.
In other territories, Gionee Elife E7 comes in two variants. There's the 16 GB non-LTE model which has 2 GB of RAM and runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system skinned by the company's Amigo 2.0 UI with its Quad Core 2.2 GHz Krait 400 CPU and Adreno 330 GPU based Qualcomm MSM8274 Snapdragon 800 SoC. The 32GB LTE-enabled variant, on the other hand, has 3 GB of RAM and the same chipset with faster 2.5 GHz clockspeed.
TP Friends, Gionee Philippines will be disclosing the official suggested retail price of Elife E7 during the event. Off hand, I'm not sure if they will be launching the two models or if they'll offer just one. Nonetheless, the TP Guesstimate for the price of the 16GB model is Php 20,000 while I think the 32GB version will sell for around Php 22,500.
