Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 S7582 Philippines Price, Specs, Antutu Benchmark Score, Release Date, Features
Samsung Mobile Philippines has just released a new Android smartphone for budget-conscious and young consumers.
Priced at Php 7,990, Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 is currently the one of the most affordable models in the Korean's current line-up of Android handsets. But just because it's cheap doesn't mean its greatly under-powered or that it lacks decent features and technical specifications.
For that amount, users will already a cute device with a rounded design language reminiscent of the Samsung Galaxy Grand or Samsung Galaxy S3. The handset also comes replete with a 4-inch 400 x 800 pixels TFT screen, a 5 MegaPixel autofocus camera with LED flash, VGA front cam, and an HD 720p video recorder.
Inside the shell, Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 features a Dual Core 1.2 GHz ARM Cortex A9 CPU and VideoCore 4 GPU based Broadcom BCM21664T chipset running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system skinned by Samsung's very own TouchWiz user interface. This is a vast improvement from the 1 GHz ARM Cortex A5 CPU and Adreno 200 GPU based Qualcomm MSM7227A Snapdragon SoC of the first generation Samsung Galaxy S Duos.
The new processor paired with the 768 MB of RAM and 4 GB of ROM - that can be expanded via microSD card slot - combine to give SGSDuos2 a more than decent Antutu Benchmark Score of 12,031, which supposedly puts it in between 2011 flagship releases Samsung Galaxy S2 and HTC One X in terms of actual performance.
Samsung Galaxy S Duos S7582 with Dual SIM Dual Standby capability is now available at all authorized retail outlets and Samsung partner stores across the archipelago. Again, the handset has an official suggested retail price of Php 7,990 and you can get it in two colors: Black and White.
