Starmobile Play Price Php 2,999, Specs, Key Features Review and Explanation, Loud Speaker Demo
Starmobile Play is the best-selling Android smartphone in Happy Man Philippines' current product line-up and it's not just because it's very affordable - a lot of handsets are, after all - but also because it has two cool key features that are highly attractive to a lot of Pinoy consumers.
Priced at only Php 2,999, Starmobile Play offers an opportunity for budget-conscious gadget fans and current feature phone owners to upgrade to an Android smartphone without breaking the bank. And what's nice is that you already get some good technical specifications on the phone for that low an amount.
The Dual SIM Dual Standby device flaunts a 4-inch WVGA TN capacitive touchscreen display, 5 MegaPixel main camera without LED flash, VGA front cam, and VGA video recorder. Inside the shell, the handset runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system sans custom skin with its 1.2 GHz Dual Core ARM Cortex A7 CPU and 500 MHz Mali-400 MP1 GPU based MediaTek MT6572 SoC, handles multitasking with 512 MB of RAM and has 4 GB of ROM expandable via microSD card slot. In terms of connectivity, Starmobile Play supports WiFi, Bluetooth, and 3G HSPA+.
But the real highlight of this release would have to be its loud speaker at the back - made by Yamaha, which goes easily twice as loud as that of other phones in this price category. If you like sharing your music with your friends, you'd fall in love with this feature. Also, Starmobile Play has a large 2,000 mAh removable Li-Ion battery pack (at least, in proportion to its screen size and innards), which gives the phone an extended uptime.
To learn more about this release, kindly watch my exclusive quick interview video with Mr. Elijah Mendoza, Product Marketing Manager of Starmobile, where he explained the main selling points of Play and even gave me a demo of its loud speaker.
Starmobile Play is now available nationwide at all Starmobile Concept Stores and Kiosks. Again, TP Friends, you can get it for only Php 2,999 and for that amount, I think it's already a steal.
