LG G Pro 2 Price in the Philippines is Php 32,990, It's Official! Complete Specs, Full Demo, Meet The Ambassadors!
LG G Pro 2, the early 2014 flagship phablet of the Korean company, was officially launched in the Philippines last April 7, 2014 via an exclusive media event held at 71 Gramercy in Makati City.
Quoting TP Writer Fellow from DLSU - Nico Aguila - who first reported about this device back in January, "The screen of the LG G Pro 2 is a whopping 5.9-inch Full HD IPS OGS display, with super slim bezels measuring only 3.3 millimeters. Imagine the beautiful display of the G Pro 2 almost hugging the edges of the phone; It's really a sight to behold."
Users can definitely enjoy crisp and bright images on the large screen, and paired with the new 1 Watt Hi-Fi speaker which generates noticeably clear and amplified sounds, they get a superb multimedia experience.
Like the best-selling TechPinas Badge Excellence Awardee LG G2, the LG G Pro 2 sports the innovative Rear Key, which - as earlier explained on TP - makes it easier for users to access and control the power button and volume keys since it is positioned in a spot where the index finger naturally rests when you hold the phone.
Nico adds, "Along with the beautiful display, LG G Pro 2 comes with an enhanced 13 MegaPixel autofocus rear camera with OIS+ (Optical Image Stabilizer Plus). OIS+ technology adds more powerful software optimizations to the already impressive OIS anti-shake functionality built into the camera module for the best photos and videos possible; most especially in low-light conditions or when taking photos and videos while in motion. Aside from that, LG has baked in more goodies into the G Pro 2's camera software - able to rival image capturing features of other manufacturers - such as:
The LG G Pro 2 also boasts of other useful software features, which could very well seal the deal for Android phablet fans and LG enthusiasts, some of which are:
The smartphone also runs on top-notch hardware, which include the 2.26 GHz Quad Core 2.26 GHz Krait 400 CPU and Adreno 330 GPU based Qualcomm MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 chipset, 3 GB RAM, and 16 GB of internal storage that can be beefed up using the phone's microSD card slot.
Running Android 4.4 KitKat skinned by the company's UX interface - bringing all of the above-mentioned software enhancements - and powered by a long-lasting 3,200 mAh removable Li-Ion battery pack, users will be able to maximize smartphone usage efficiently and with peace of mind -- even when they leave their phone charger at home or when they are away from an electrical outlet.
"Asian consumers have been the biggest fans of smartphones with displays over five inches. At 5.9 inches locking in power in its display, hardware, and user experience, we trust that the LTE-ready LG G Pro 2, complete with the successful Rear Key, will exceed the high expectations of the Philippine market," shared Mr. Lawrence Kim, Vice President of LG Electronics Philippines' Mobile Communications Division.
After the formal launch of the phablet, Miss Faith Mijares gave me a quick demo and specs rundown of both the LG G Pro 2 and LG G2 Mini, which was also introduced to tech bloggers and local media via the event. I got our whole conversation on video, TP Friends, and I invite you to watch it here to know more about these cool devices:
LTE-capable LG G Pro 2 is now available at all LG Concept Stores and authorized retail partners nationwide. The official suggested retail price of the flagship release is Php 32,990, which I think is just right for a product of its calibre.

Aside from that, LG has baked in more goodies into the G Pro 2's camera software - able to rival image capturing features of other manufacturers - such as:
- 120 frames per second HD Video Recording and Slow-Motion Editing (in three different speeds: one-half slow motion, one-fourth slow motion and original)
- 4K Ultra HD Recording
- Magic Focus - Enabling the user to select the preferred depth of focus before saving.
- Natural Flash - Offers a more balanced color temperature and exposure for more natural-looking photos
The LG G Pro 2 also boasts of other useful software features, which could very well seal the deal for Android phablet fans and LG enthusiasts, some of which are:
- Knock Code - An improvement over the “Knock On” feature currently present on the LG G2 and LG G Pad, it allows owners to turn on the display and unlock their G Pro 2 smartphones by tapping their screens using one of the 86,367 possible “knock” combinations, somewhat like your very own “Morse Code” for your phone. Knock Code can be done on any area of the screen, whether the display is turned on or off.
*Consumer research shows that users check and unlock their devices more than 100 times a day. And with more than 80,000 possible combinations and no fingerprint streaks, LG’s patented Knock Code™ solution offers a greater level of security over other methods. Customer response has been overwhelmingly positive, as more than 50 percent of participants selected Knock Code as the most anticipated feature of the LG G Pro 2 in a survey in Korea.
- Content Lock - This gives users the ability to lock files, photos, videos and memos with a unique password.
- Mini View - Enables users to comfortably use the LG G Pro 2 with one hand by quickly adjusting the display with just a swipe to a size ranging from 3.4 inches to 4.7 inches.
- Dual Browser - Just as the name implies, it divides the screen into two separate browser windows, utilizing the generous screen space provided by LG.
