LG G3 Specs and New Rear Key Design, Price and Release Date Guesstimate
Evleaks and GSMArena have just gotten hold of purported images and technical specifications of LG's upcoming 2014 flagship smartphone, LG G3. This handset, as its very name suggests, will serve as the follow-up to last year's award-winning and best-selling top-of-the-line release by the Korean electronics giant.
As you can see in the photo, LG G3 will still feature the patented Rear Key, which we first saw in LG G2 and is now present in LG G Pro 2 and LG G2 Mini. Interestingly, though, the one on LG G3 appears to have been redesigned with the power button now rounder and made of real metal, which I think - as an owner of LG G2 - is a great thing. Also, there is some sort of sensor next to the camera module of the LG G3 - I believe it's for infrared - and there are now two LED flash bulbs for better low to zero light camera performance.
As for the specs, LTE-enabled LG G3 is believed to feature a 5.5 inch 2560 x 1440 pixels IPS OGS display, 16 MegaPixel main camera, 2.1 MegaPixel front cam, UltraHD video recorder with optical image stabilization, and 3,000 mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery pack. Inside the shell, the phone will run its UX-skinned Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system with its Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC, handle multitasking with 3GB of RAM, and have 32 GB of internal storage.
LG G2 saw official release in the Philippines on October 20, 2013 with a very competitive suggested retail price of Php 27,490. I'm expecting the next iteration to LG's flagship line to arrive here sometime in Q3 (July, according to some insiders) with price tag in the range of Php 27,500 to Php 29,000.
