MyPhone Agua Rio Price Php 4,999, Specs : MP Fans Share Their Thoughts About The Affordable Quad Core Android Smartphone
Earlier this week, I received an invite from MyPhone for the official launch of their new and affordable quad core Android handset, the MyPhone Agua Rio, happening tomorrow, April 10, 2014.
Actually, the device - dubbed by the local electronics giant as "the most affordable Quad Core smartphone" currently - has been available at some MyPhone concept stores and kiosks nationwide since last Monday. In fact, MyPhone fans Jennilyn Ballestar and Regie Higuit have already posted photos of their units on Facebook.
Rio owner Jing Calvelo shares, "Got mine yesterday. Color orange nalang ang available sa Galleria kaya binili ko na dahil madali daw nauubos ang stock. Also, available daw in MegaMall. Wala kasi sa SM North eh dun palang daw meron kaya punta kagad ng Gale. I also have MyPhone Agua Vortex bought last January. MyPhone is the best and affordable phone! Kaya buy lang nang buy."
Gil Peralta Baluyot, on the other hand, said, "Meron narin akong Rio. First delivery palang sa may MyPhone booth dyan sa may SM Cubao. Ako ang unang bumili -- color Blue ang like ko. Level up sa pag-take ng pics; [powerful ang camera]. Pati pag-unlock, sensor narin. Itapat mo lng ung palm mo sa may sensor nya, may Clever Motion na sya." We really have to hand it to all the loyal MyPhone fans across the country; They really support the brand all the way.
Priced at only Php 4,999, MyPhone Agua Rio - indeed - is one of the most affordable quad core devices available in the market. And I think it's great that for that amount users can already enjoy a slew of amazing features and technical specifications - previously available only on far more expensive handsets - highlighted by the 5-inch HD 1280 x 720 IPS display, 8 MegaPixel autofocus camera with LED flash, 2 MegaPixel front cam, and HD video recorder.
Inside the shell, Rio - with dimensions of 146 x 74 x 9.3 millimeters - is powered by the Quad Core 1.3 GHz ARM Cortex A7 and 416 MHz Mali-400 MP2 GPU based MediaTek MT6582M SoC running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS sans custom skin, 1 GB of RAM, 4 GB of storage that can be beefed up using the microSD card slot supporting up to 32 GB, and a removable 2,000 mAh battery pack. Now, as for connectivity options, the smartphone supports WiFi, Bluetooth, and 3G HSPA+. Overall, I think these innards are pretty impressive for a device with such low price tag.
TP Friends, MyPhone Agua Rio - true to its "Live Life in Color" product slogan - is available in a number of vibrant and youthful hues, namely, Sky Blue (my favorite color), Green, Red, Orange, White, Yellow, and Black. That's it for now. I will definitely grace MyPhone's invitation for the product launch just to let you in on the latest developments in the company. Stay tuned for my full review of this exciting device.
