LG G2 Mini LTE Philippines Specs, Features, Smart LTE Postpaid Plan Bundle Details and Speed Test Result, Smart HD Voice Explained!
As some of you already know, the Korean company launched three variants of LG G2 Mini having largely similar technical specifications. One is a Dual SIM Dual Standby version running on Quad Core Qualcomm MSM8226 Snapdragon 400 chipset. The other, a single SIM device with NVIDIA Tegra 4i SoC. And finally, we have the LTE-capable handset running on the same Snapdragon 400 chip but only supports one SIM card.
If being able to access super fast LTE mobile internet speeds is more important a feature to you on your phone than Dual SIM capability, then - obviously - this is the one you might want to check out.
Announced by Smart Communications and LG Mobile Philippines in a joint media event held at M Cafe in Makati City yesterday - May 13, 2014, Smart LG G2 Mini LTE is the Korean Giant's current best-selling midrange handset bundled with LTE speeds and services from the MVP-company.
Like what I've shared on an earlier blog post, as the mini version of the Korean company's current flagship handset, LG G2 Mini LTE has a smaller 4.7 inches 540 x 960 pixels IPS display, only has 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of ROM, and has a less powerful 8 MegaPixel main camera and Quad Core ARM Cortex A7 and Adreno 305 based Qualcomm MSM8226 Snapdragon 400 SoC (versus 5.2-inch Full HD display, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of ROM, 13 MegaPixels camera, and Snapdragon 800 on the LG G2). Nonetheless, it has extra features that you won't find in LG G2 like the microSD card slot for expanding the storage, and a removable battery pack, which some users want their handsets to have.
On the software side, users will enjoy UX features already found in previous LG smartphones, including QuickMemo that lets the user handwrite and share ideas onscreen using his finger; QuickTranslator, which translates scanned words up to 64 languages; and the updated version of Knock On called Knock Code that allows you to customize or make your own tap codes to unlock the device.
Again, Smart LTE lets you enjoy trailblazing download speeds of up to 42 Mbps on this variant of LG G2 Mini. Having such fast mobile connection makes it possible for users to watch Full HD videos on Youtube without buffering and download large files more than twice as fast as on 3G connection among other download and upload heavy activities on the device.
Smart Communications bundled the LG G2 Mini with a variety of postpaid LTE bundles but the one that TechPinas recommends is All-In Plan 1299, which gives you Unli LTE, Php 205 consumable amount per month, and even a free Quick Window Case for your smartphone!
Since LG G2 Mini LTE is AMR-WB-capable, it supports Smart's new High Definition Voice Call feature. According to the company, HD voice technology makes it easier for callers to recognize commonly misheard sounds such as “s” from “f”, “m” from “n”, and “p” from “t”. And it does so by using "improved modulation techniques which allow for the transmission and reception of crystal clear audio using the same amount of bandwidth as a regular voice call—all you need is an active 3G connection and you will automatically be able to enjoy this new feature."

LG G2 Mini LTE flaunts a number of recognizable features found on the much more expensive LG G2 including the innovative Rear Key, which gives users easier access to the power button and volume keys since it is positioned where the index finger naturally rests when holding the phone.

I ran SpeedTest on the Smart LG G2 Mini LTE during the event and I got download speed of 13.01 Mbps and 3.48 Mbps upload speed. Not bad!
