Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime Specs and Build Will Be Better Compared to Regular SGS5 : Refreshed Flagship, To Be Announced in June?
If you've missed out on purchasing Samsung Galaxy S5 ahead of your friends during its launch in the country earlier last month but you're still considering getting the flagship release, then I would suggest you wait until next month - June 2014 - before you make a decision as the Korean Giant is then expected to announce a moderately upgraded version of SGS5 replete with better set of technical specifications and enclosure.
This is not completely unexpected as Samsung has seemingly developed a rather nasty habit of releasing improved models not all too long after the initial or the regular model hits the market. This leads tech bloggers and experts to ask and wonder if the initial release actually had subtle factory defects or if consumer feedback merely helped engineers develop improved versions. Really, what's up with that, Samsung?
Anyway, according to industry insiders, Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime aka Samsung Galaxy S5 KQ will have almost the same dimensions and similar 5.1 inch screen size as the current SGS5. However, it will come with a metal shell - making it look and feel more elegant, durable, and sturdy - and will have improved technical specifications including the 2560 x 1440 pixels display from the initial version's 1920 x 1080 resolution and the new 64-bit Octa Core Exynos 5430 system on chip. I hope they'd also give it a bigger battery pack.
If you ask me, I think that Samsung had decided to come up with this more premium version of their top-of-the-line release to further boost its dominance in the market in preparation for the launch of both LG G3 - the follow-up to the other Korean giant's best-selling and award-winning 2013 flagship - and the Apple iPhone 6, which is expected to come in two sizes.
