THL W200s Octa Core Price Php 9,999, Specs, Unboxing, Full Review and Demo Video, Antutu Benchmark Score, Scratch Test!
"If you drop the price of this phone to less than Php 10,000, it will instantly become the most affordable Octa Core smartphone that's available in the Philippines currently -- and that will definitely make a lot of Pinoy Android fans happy."
That's what I told our friends from Novo7Tech during our dinner meeting in Lucky Chinatown Mall last week when they showed me their new THL W200s True Octa Core Android smartphone and shared that they're selling it via a Php 10,990 Powerbank Bundle.
Thankfully, they listened to my advice and, on the spot, lowered the SRP of the device. "OK, Mark! How about we remove the obligatory bundled items and sell the phone itself for just Php 9,999? Yes, I think we should give them that option."
That's the story of THL W200s' revised SRP in the country. Hopefully, that made you smile.
And so TP Friends, for that amount, you can already get this package:
This is how the THL W200s looks in the flesh -- just looks a lot like THL T5 but with more lush metallic accents, really. In front, we'll see the 5-inch HD IPS OGS display underneath the scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass 3 touchscreen. There's a 5 MegaPixel front facing camera above the screen while there's a row of touch-sensitive buttons for navigating the Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean vanilla interface below.
At the back, we'll find the 8 MegaPixel autofocus camera with LED flash, the loud speaker at the bottom, and the svelte removable back cover with satin-like finish.
TP Friends, although Novo7Tech has lowered the price of THL W200s to just Php 9,999 to make it even more accessible to Pinoy consumers, they told me they will continue to offer the Php 10,990 bundle which will give you the 5,600 mAh powerbank, jelly case, and screen protector. If you're on a tight budget, stick to the phone-only option. But if you can spare another thousand bucks, go for the bundle, which I think is already very sulit. It's all up to you.
To wrap this up, let me share with you our THL W200s complete technical specifications table as well as my exclusive interview video with Mr. Adrian Lim, the IT Director of Novo7Tech (the official and exclusive distributor of THL phones in the Philippines), where he did a quick unboxing of the device, a full review and features rundown, and even a bonus Gorilla Glass 3 borderline unforgiving scratch test!

There's the THL W200s unit self that comes replete with a 5-inch HD IPS OGS display, Octa Core 1.7 GHz MediaTek MT6592 SoC, 1 GB of RAM, and a whopping 32 GB of ROM.
Inside the box, the handset is joined by the user manual, which - frankly - hardly anyone reads.
The microUSB to USB connector cable
The standard earphones with in-ear silicon buds and tangle-resistant fetuccine-like wires.
The travel charger with two round prongs -- so you'll need an adapter to be able to plug it to our outlets here in the Philippines.
And two 2,000 mAh Li-Ion battery packs. Yup, you read that correctly, two packs.

At the back, we'll find the 8 MegaPixel autofocus camera with LED flash, the loud speaker at the bottom, and the svelte removable back cover with satin-like finish.
THL W200s measures only 9.3 millimeters at its thickest point -- making it one of the thinnest Octa Core smartphones in the market as of writing.
The microUSB port and 3.5mm audio jack are located on top of the device.
Although THL W200s flaunts a rather large display, it nonetheless fits nicely in one hand.
The Antutu Device Info section shows that the handset comes with interpolated front and back cameras, 13 MegaPixels according to the list. "We don't use the interpolated camera specs to sell our handsets, Mark. We don't believe in that. For us, it's just 8 MegaPixels and 5 MegaPixels. We are confident in the quality of our phones," our friends from Novo7Tech told me.
The combination of the above-mentioned innards give THL W200s an Antutu Benchmark Score in the area of 26,446, which is pretty standard for a device powered by MediaTek's MT6592 chipset.
This high Antutu mark supposedly puts THL W200s in between last year's flagship releases, HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4, in terms of overall hardware performance.

Aside from White, THL W200s is available in two other colors, Black and Yellow. The Yellow variant looks particularly cute -- kinda reminds me of BumbleBee in that Transformers movie.
