Starmobile Roar Price Php 4,690, Complete Specs, Key Features, Release Date : Affordable Quad Core Android Smartphone
With its Starmobile Quest now a certified best-seller (I was informed by one of our friends from the company that the initial batch has just been sold out), Happy Man Philippines aims to reinforce its strong position in the midrange Android smartphone category by releasing Starmobile Roar today.
Donning an official suggested retail price of only Php 4,690 and flaunting a design identity reminiscent of Apple iPhone 5S, Starmobile Roar gives budget-conscious consumers an opportunity to experience the power of a quad core processor and a set of interesting software capabilities on a very attractive device.
Specs-wise, the Dual SIM, Dual 3G Standby handset sports a 4.5 inch FWGA IPS display, an 8 MegaPixel autofocus camera with LED flash, 2 MegaPixel front cam, an HD video recorder, and USB On-The-Go support. Under the hood, Roar runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean sans custom skin with its MediaTek MT6582M chipset, which incorporates a Quad Core 1.3 GHz ARM Cortex A7 CPU and a Mali-400 GPU. This SoC is complemented by 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage that you can beef up using the microSD card slot supporting up to 32 GB. As for connectivity, the phone supports WiFi, Bluetooth, and 3G HSPA+.
Starmobile Roar is powered by a 1,750 mAh Li-Ion battery pack that - according to Happy Man - delivers up to 8.3 days of standby time and 8 hours of talk time.
On top of these hardware features, Starmobile Roar also comes replete with a few cool software enhancements that I'm sure many Pinoy consumers will appreciate.
TP Friends, Starmobile Roar is now available via authorized dealers, Starmobile Concept Stores, and kiosks across the archipelago. It's out in two colors, namely, White with Gold Trim and Black with Slate accent running down the sides. Again, the official SRP is Php 4,690, which - for me - is just right considering the phone's attractive design, IPS display (that should look brilliant regardless of the viewing angle), the fairly large battery, the moderately powerful processor, and the slew of additional software capabilities.

There's Pop Out Video that lets you watch your favorite clips on a floating window so you can do other things on your device and still enjoy the content.
Unlock your phone using a 2-6 syllable Voice Command instead of just swiping on the display. Not only is it fun but it also adds another veritable layer of mobile security.
Just like the slightly more expensive Starmobile Quest, Roar also has Noise Cancellation technology which lowers the volume of ambient sounds when you're making a call so the other party can hear you clearly.
