MyPhone Ocean Elite Price Php 8,999, Specs, Features : 5-Inch HD Metal-Clad Quad Core Smartphone
In my eyes, MyPhone Agua Infinity - the Pinoy electronics company's current flagship smartphone - remains to be the most beautiful release by MyPhone thus far. But if there's a very tight runner-up to it in terms of looks, it would have to be the recently launched MyPhone Ocean Elite.
Clad in aluminum ala iPhone 5S, MyPhone Ocean Elite is the most premium-looking of all Quad Core Android smartphones being offered by the local handset company. It's undeniably gorgeous -- but its design and build are just half of the reason why I think this release is special and worth checking out.
Specs-wise, the Ocean Elite flaunts a 5-inch HD IPS OGS display panel that should deliver a greatly enjoyable viewing experience. The phone - powered by a 2,000 mAh Li-Ion battery pack - is also equipped with a 13 MegaPixel autofocus camera with BSI sensor and LED flash at the back and 5 MegaPixel front cam also with BSI sensor for bright and clear selfies even in low light conditions. As for connectivity, the device supports the usual WiFi, Bluetooth and 3G HSPA+ mobile data speeds.
Under the hood, MyPhone's upper midrange smartphone runs vanilla Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with its MediaTek MT6582 chipset incorporating a Quad Core 1.3 GHz ARM Cortex A7 CPU and Mali 400 GPU. This SoC is complemented by 1 GB of RAM for rather smooth multitasking and a sizable non-expandable 16 GB of ROM or internal storage.
Having relatively powerful innards allows this Tri-band, Dual microSIM handset to deliver above average 3D and HD gaming performance and stellar touch and overall mobile experience.
Of course, just like all midrange and high-end MyPhone releases, the Ocean Elite ships with pre-installed applications developed by the company, including MyKaraoke, MyLoad, and my favorite Pinoy app that has audio files of prayers, folk stories, quotations, and even jokes. There are even inspiring biographies of our part Presidents and National Heroes. On top of all that, users will also enjoy additional features like Magic Camera, Clever Motion, and Voice Unlock.
