Xiaomi Mi4 Launch in China Will Be on July 22, 2014, Confirmed!
I know Xiaomi Mi3 has just been released in the Philippines -- but it appears that the natural follow-up to that is already set to be launched in China.
How did we know? Well, the disruptive Chinese electronics company has started sending invites - in the form of stylish metal plates like the one shown in these photos - to their local tech bloggers and members of the media for the official unveiling of the company's 2014 flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi4.
I scanned the barcode printed on the plate and it led me to Xiaomi's official site for the media launch -- which also pretty much confirms the name of Mi3' successor...
... as well as the exact time and date when it will be announced; That's July 22, 2014, 2 o'clock in the afternoon in China.
If you're one of the lucky Mi Fans who were able to purchase the Mi3 via any of the two recent Lazada sales, resist all urge to shake your head in disappointment or to feel buyer's remorse. As I've said, for Php 10,599, that amazing handset is already a steal. Also, I think it might take a while before Xiaomi releases the 2014 flagship here as they have yet to launch both the Redmi 1S and Redmi Note locally.
