Gionee Elife E7 Mini Philippines Price Php 13,999, Specs : Five Things I Like About It
Belexis Corporation, the official and exclusive distributor of Gionee smartphones in the Philippines, has just released the more affordable, compact version of the Gionee Elife E7 flagship release.
Whereas its more powerful sibling sells for Php 24,500, Gionee Elife E7 Mini goes for just Php 13,999 -- obviously allowing it to be more accessible to Pinoy gadget consumers who are on a rather tight budget.
But just because it's far more affordable doesn't mean it's vastly inferior in terms of power and features. Sure its display - 4.7 inch HD IGZO (Indium Gallium Zinc Oxide screen by Sharp with quality comparable to an IPS display but is more power efficient) - is smaller than that of the flagship and it has less RAM - just 1 GB versus 2 GB on the regular E7 - but its other features including the Full HD video recorder, 3G HSPA+ connectivity support, ports and sensors set, and even the battery size - are more or less comparable.
For me, there are five things that are particularly special about this release.
First, it is powered by a True Octa Core MediaTek MT6592 chipset, which is both powerful and energy efficient as it can run just one or all eight cores at the same time depending on the requirement of an application or game that you're playing on the phone.
Second, as shown in the photo above, it has a rotating or swivelling 13 MegaPixel camera module that allows users not only to take clear and crisp selfies regardless of the lighting condition - thanks to its powerful sensor - but also to be more creative when shooting photos. I mean, just imagine what you can do with a smartphone camera that's as flexible as that.
Third, it comes with a simple yet svelte design identity that users who are not fans of too many metallic accents or lush embellishments on their devices would definitely appreciate.
Fourth, Gionee Elife E7 Mini features the Chinese company's app-drawer-free Amigo user interface for Android, which is both gorgeous and intuitive. I'm a Gionee Elife S5.5 user and everyday, I still find new features on the handset UI that I can't help but fall in love with.
And finally, the smartphone has Dual SIM Dual Standby capability allowing the user to conveniently stay connected on two networks or to use two numbers using just one device.
Overall, I think it's a cool midrange Android smartphone with enough unique selling points to make it a standout -- so make sure you give one a test run. Gionee Elife E7 Mini is now available at all Gionee stores and retail partners across the Philippines. Again, it sells for only Php 13,999 and you can get it in two colors: Black and White.
