Gionee L206 Price, Unboxing, Actual Photos : Feature Phone with Large Battery
Gionee L206 has a battery so big that - according to the Chinese company - it is capable of delivering up to a whopping 2 months of standby and days of uptime with mixed usage!
Talk about not having to worry to if it would run out of charge every 48 hours. So if you're looking for a reliable Dual SIM Dual Standby feature phone with long battery life to accompany your smartphone, I would suggest that you consider checking out this handset.
Gionee L206 is equipped with a 2.6 inch QVGA TFT display that's a bit bigger than the screens of most feature phones available in the market currently. Below that, you will find the navigation button and the three-key strips that have a nice, springy feedback making up the alpha-numeric keyboard.
The handset comes with an easy-to-use interface that looks and works a lot like the Nokia's S60 operating system, which I'm sure a lot of you are very familiar with.
At the back, we'll see the phone's VGA camera - that you can also use to record videos - and the loud speaker, which - I find - is powerful enough to match that of Nokia X1-01.
Gionee L206 is now available at all Gionee stores and retail partners across the Philippines. Again, you can get it for just Php 1,499 and it's out in two colors: Black and Silver.

The retail package, which sells for Php 1,499, includes the unit itself, the user manual, warranty certificate, microUSB to USB cable, standard earphones with microphone, and the travel charger.

The back plate is made of plastic but has brushed metal look.
There's an LED bulb at the phone's rear which works as a flashlight. This totally comes in handy when looking for something inside your bag while you're in the cinema, when you're walking down a dark alley, or even when you're just in your room and electricity suddenly goes off.
In summary, the familiar user interface, the flashlight, the large 1,800 mAh Li-Ion battery pack and the Dual Regular Mini SIM slots are the key features of this release. Not bad at all for a phone in this price range. And it also doesn't hurt that it looks quite cute and feels durable when you hold it.
You can learn more about Gionee via the company's official Facebook page in the Philippines. Gionee Pioneer P4 is their current best-selling midrange smartphone, which I think could be well complemented by Gionee L206 as secondary phone.
