O+ Fab Color 2.0 Price, Specs, Unboxing, Antutu Benchmark Score : Quad Core Android Tablet with Dual SIM Phone Functionality
American electronics company O+ has just released an updated version of its early 2014 best-selling, affordable 7-inch tablet with phone functionality, the O+ Fab Color.
On the outside, O+ Fab Color 2.0 looks exactly like its predecessor -- having the same design identity, which is highlighted by the rounded edges and tapered sides along with a removable matte-textured plastic back plate and a metallic accent framing the camera module.
Even the key features of the first and second generation Fab Color slates are similar. Users will get the same 7-inch WSVGA TFT display, 5 MegaPixel camera with LED flash, VGA front cam, Full HD video recorder, Dual SIM Dual Standby Phone functionality, 3G HSPA+ support, and a removable Li-Po 2,800 mAh battery pack.
But the thing makes O+ Fab Color 2.0 a true upgrade from the tablet it superseded is its new Quad Core processor. This 'hybrid' runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system with its Quad Core 1.3 GHz ARM Cortex A7 and Mali 400 based MediaTek MT8382 chipset, which greatly improves the device's gaming and overall performance. The other innards, however, including the 512 MB of RAM and 4GB of expandable storage are just the same as the Dual Core first-gen release. Nonetheless, the new chipset is enough to give the updated slate an Antutu Benchmark Score boost that hits the area of 16,981.
Now, here's the coolest part: O+ has opted to keep the official suggested retail price of O+ Fab Color 2.0 the same as that of the initial release, which is only Php 5,995! This means that O+ fans can now enjoy all the benefits of the faster processor without having to pay more. And if that's not enough, if you purchase your O+ Fab Color 2.0 on or before August 31, 2014 at any O+ Concept Store, Kiosk, or partner retailer near you, you will enjoy a Php 500 discount as part of the American company's ongoing Birthday Sale.
