Starmobile Selfie Smartphone, Phablet, and Tablet Sale : Which Devices Do I Recommend?
I've said this before and I'll say it again, Starmobile makes great selfie smartphones.
I mean, if we're talking about being a leader in this department, they're practically the first handset company in the world to heavily market an Android smartphone with front-facing flash that allows users to take clear, crisp, and vibrant self photos even in low to zero lighting conditions.
Remember Starmobile Muse? That handset was released almost a whole year before Sony Xperia C3 and HTC Desire Eye -- so it's clear to Starmobile is innovating on its own and not merely copying what's being released by major international players.
But more than that - and this is something that I can vouch for - the quality of the front-facing camera of their super selfie smartphones - especially Starmobile Octa, which I personally own - is clearly top-notch.
TP Friends, if you're thinking about using your thirteenth month pay to get yourself a powerful yet fairly affordable smartphone that can consistently give you great selfies regardless of where you are or what kind of ambient light is available all while delivering great gaming and overall touch performance, then I would advice you to check out a Starmobile Octa with front-facing flash.
Like what I shared in my previous Starmobile Octa blog post, "This [flagship-level Octa Core smartphone] sure looks great but it is also feature-packed. You get an 18 MegaPixel autofocus camera with dual LED flash and BSI sensor for improved low light performance at the back, an 8 Megapixel fixed focus front cam with wide angle lens, BSI sensor, and LED flash (Yes, it's a unique feature it shares with Starmobile Muse) for bright selfies even in zero lighting conditions, and Full HD 30fps video recorder. The device is powered by a Li-Ion 2,300 mAh battery pack that's said to deliver around 10 hours of TalkTime and 10 days of Standby."
Starmobile Octa is part of Happy Man Philippines' super sale, which will be on until October 31, 2014 at all Starmobile Kiosks, Concept Stores, and partner retailers nationwide. This stellar handset has a regular SRP of Php 16,990 but you can get it for Php 3,000 less if you take advantage of this generous offer. For Php 13,990, you will already get a free 3-in-1 wireless charger, bluetooth speaker, and hands-free microphone to go with the standard retail package. Sweet!
Other selfie smartphones, phablets, and tablets are also included in the promotion. Kindly check the poster above for the complete list.
I've played with all of these devices and I'd say you can't go wrong choosing any of them. The ones I personally own though are Starmobile Octa, Muse, Starmobile Quest, Diamond X1, Starmobile Engage 9i, and Engage 7TV+ and those are the ones that I can personally recommend. Here's what I have to say about my Starmobile products:
Starmobile Muse (Php 8,990 via this sale) - While it's not as quite as powerful as Starmobile Octa, it gives you the same benefits of the front-facing flash. I find its design unique and attractive while its tank-like durable build, greatly appealing
Starmobile Quest (Php 4,990 via this sale) - Quest's enhanced imaging capabilities headlined by its 5 MegaPixel front cam with Toshiba Sensor for selfies and the 13 MegaPixel camera with LED flash, Sony Sensor, and large f2.0 aperture make it one of the best cameraphones in its price category.
Starmobile Diamond X1 (Php 11,990 via this sale) - The first Octa Core handset to be released by a Pinoy handset company, the Diamond X1 is a 6-inch HD phablet that delivers in terms of looks, imaging capabilities, and raw power. For me, it was love at first sight when I saw its real metal shell and massive display.
Starmobile Engage 9i (Php 8,990 via this sale) - Here's an extensive and exclusive demo interview I had with Mr. Elijah Mendoza - Product Marketing Manager of Starmobile - on what I think is the most gorgeous and at the same time most powerful tablet the company has released to date:
Starmobile Engage 7TV+ (Php 3,290 via this sale) - A 7-inch Dual Core Android Jelly Bean tablet and an All-TV (Analog, Digital, and Streaming TV) rolled in one, the very affordable 7TV+ is hard to beat.
There you have it, TP Friends! Those are the 2014 Starmobile devices that I personally own and keep in my collection. Feel free to check them out at all Starmobile Concept Stores across the country and maybe, get them for a lot less through the company's latest promotion.
Anyway, I wish that Starmobile would extend this sale until the Yuletide Season and add even more devices so more people could enjoy their cool and amazing products. Thumbs up!

Here's one the first selfies that I took using my Starmobile Octa. Unedited, no filter.
