Gionee Pioneer P3 Philippines Price Php 4,999, Full Specs, Features, In the Flesh
The cute Gionee Pioneer P3 is the most affordable Quad Core Android smartphone in the international company's current product line-up here in the Philippines.
With an official suggested retail price of Php 4,999, Pioneer P3 is great for students and yuppies who are a fan of Gionee and are curious about how Amigo UI looks (albeit just the 'basic' version) as well as what the brand has to offer in this device category.
Design-wise, as you can see in these photos, the handset flaunts this 'rounded' look replete with a metallic accent running down its sides as well as a glossy back cover, which gently tapers down the edges. The phone is available in two colors, Black and White.
In terms of features and specifications, there's nothing really shout about, which is to be expected since it's an entry-level release. You get a 4.3-inch WVGA TFT display, 5 MegaPixel autofocus camera with flash, VGA front cam, HD video recorder, and a removable 1,700 mAh battery pack.
Under the hood, Pioneer P3 runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with its 1.3 GHz MediaTek MT6582 chipset incorporating four ARM Cortex A7 CPUs and a Mali 400 GPU. This SoC is complemented by 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of ROM that you can beef up using the phone's microSD card slot supporting up to 32 GB.
One cool feature that this phone has is its pre-installed Gionee Xender application that allows you to quickly transfer content- including contacts, music files, photos, videos, and even apps - from your phone to another handset or PC 50 times faster than Bluetooth. This feature supports group sharing - up to 5 devices - and can even work when transferring content from your Gionee smartphone to an iOS device.
Finally, as for connectivity, Dual SIM Dual Standby Gionee Pioneer P3 supports WiFi, Bluetooth, and 3G HSPA+ mobile connection.
