Starmobile Up Lite Price Php 4,890, Specs, Features : Affordable Smartphone with Front Flash for Selfies
If you've been following TP and all of my social media accounts, then you should know that I love taking selfies and I enjoy discovering gadgets that give great value for money.
And that's why when I first saw Starmobile Up Lite at the exhibit area of the company's thanksgiving event for bloggers, members of the media and dealers held at the Makati Shangrila Hotel a month ago, I was instantly drawn to the handset.
Priced at only Php 4,890, the Up Lite could very well be the most affordable smartphone in the Philippines currently with front-facing flash, which enables users to take bright, clear, and crisp selfies with its 2 MegaPixel BSI front-cam even in low to zero lighting conditions.
That's a neat feature and cool selling point but it's not the only thing that makes Starmobile Up Lite quite special; It's technical specifications are more than decent for a device with such a pocket-friendly price.
Up Lite sports a 4.5 FWVGA 480 x 854 pixels IPS display, an 8 MegaPixel autofocus camera with LED flash and BSI sensor, Full HD 1080p 30fps video recorder, 3G HSPA+ support, Dual SIM Dual Standby (Regular + Micro) capability, and a removable 1,650 mAh battery pack delivering up to 400 hours of standby and 12 hours of talk time. It also features Wireless Internet and File Transfer, Miracast and Chromecast Support, and FM Radio on top of having pre-installed software innovations from Starmobile like Multi-Point Gestures and Starmobile Sync, which lets you quickly transfer files and contacts from your feature phone or previous smartphone over WiFi or Bluetooth. Not bad right?
Under the hood, the Up Lite runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system with its 1.3 GHz Quad Core ARM Cortex A7 and Mali 400 based MediaTek MT6582 processor, has 1 GB of RAM for smooth multitasking, and comes with 8 GB of internal storage that can quickly expanded via the microSD card slot supporting up to 32GB.
Its hardware - both apparent and inside the shell - and imaging capabilities considered, I'd say Starmobile Up Lite definitely gives great bang for the buck. And - as you can see in these photos - it also doesn't hurt that it looks really nice.
