Xiaomi Mi Note Pro Price is $530 USD : What Makes It Better Compared to Non-Pro Version?
This coming Q2 2015, Xiaomi Global will be releasing two versions of its new flagship phablet; One is the regular Mi Note and the other is this, the Pro variant.
According to the disruptive Chinese electronics company, "With incredible craftsmanship, high-end specs, and a price of only ¥2299, Mi Note will redefine the large-screen smartphone market. At the same time, Xiaomi announced an even more powerful Mi Note Pro, which comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 4GB RAM and a 2K display, retailing for only ¥3299."
"Following the gorgeous design of Mi 4, Xiaomi has once again achieved a breakthrough in terms of craftsmanship, creating a phone with a thickness of only 6.95mm, an aluminum frame, and curved Gorilla Glass 3 on the front and rear, which is highly resistant to scratches and shattering. Mi Note [just like the Pro model] comes with a 13-megapixel camera with a 6-element lens and f2.0 aperture, with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). Even with such a powerful camera, Xiaomi has successfully managed to achieve a flush design on Mi Note with a flat back free of protrusions. [Both Mi Note and Note Pro are] also equipped with a new Hi-Fi audio system, which supports lossless playback and lets you enjoy your music with pristine sound and clearer detail," they added.
So what makes the Pro version more special than the regular Mi Note? Four key features, TP Friends -- apart from the fact that Pro is available in Gold. First, Pro has a more powerful 64-Bit Octa Core Snapdragon 810 chipset compared to just Quad Core Snapdragon 801 on the regular version. Second, the more expensive variant has a whopping 4GB of RAM versus 3GB on the 2299 CNY model. Third, Pro has a higher resolution albeit same sized 5.7-inch 2K display with 515 ppi pixel density. And finally, it supports 4G LTE Category 9 download speeds of up 450 Mbps.
Apart from the above-mentioned main selling points, all of Pro's other features - including its design identity - are similar to that of the regular Mi Note. Some of which include:
How much will this model cost in the Philippines? Xiaomi Global told us that that they'll be announcing the local prices and availability closer to the phablet's launch date in each market -- the Philippines included. Based on its SRP in China, though, I'm guessing that Mi Pro Note will be priced at around Php 24,000 to Php 25,000 if and when it becomes available at Lazada come Q2. I'm just hoping that there won't be delays on the device's arrival in Pinas.

IPS display by JDI-Sharp that supports dynamic contrast and eye-friendly reading mode.
Hi-Fi Pure Sound audio system

OIS compensates for movement or shaking while taking videos or photos resulting in clearer and more crisp shots.
Use of Dual Tone flash in low light conditions results in better skin-tone replication.
The front cam for selfies has an ultrapixel sensor similar to that of HTC One M7 and M8's main camera.
The display is protected by scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 3 touchscreen.
