Cherry Mobile Alpha Shift Laptop Price is Php 14,499 in Lazada : Special Feature, Revealed!
In 2014, local electronics giant Cherry Mobile entered into a landmark partnership with Microsoft Corporation, which resulted in the release of stellar products under CM's new Alpha series including Style and Luxe smartphones running Windows Phone 8.1 as well as Play tablet and Morph hybrid powered by Windows 8.1 operating system.
This year, it appears the two companies intend to deepen their connection and fortify their alliance by continuing to come up with affordable and capable devices running on the Redmond Giant's OSes. One of these products is the Cherry Mobile Alpha Shift laptop which became available at Lazada very recently.
In a number of ways, I see Shift as the natural follow-up to the best-selling Cherry Mobile Alpha Morph. Both are two-in-one devices, doubling as a tablet and a full-fledged notebook, but the former truly represents an upgrade to the latter in terms of some features.
For one, I was told that Shift will have a better chiclet-style keyboard with far less flex as well as a bigger trackpad for a more enjoyable and faster typing experience. Also, Cherry Mobile Alpha Shift will be far thinner and lighter, making it a better mobile companion at least when it comes to portability.
The two devices practically have the same specs and innards, including the 10.1 inch Full HD IPS touchscreen display, 1.33 GHz Intel Z3735D Quad Core Processor, 2 GB of RAM, and 32 GB of internal storage. Morph has a larger 8,000 mAh battery pack versus 6,300 mAh on Shift, but the fresher release has a secret, special feature that I'm sure all of you will love: I was told by our insider that the notebook has a 500 GB HDD hidden underneath the keyboard dock! Talk about having enough storage for all of your apps, photos, and videos.
Cherry Mobile Alpha Shift will become available at all CM Concept Stores, kiosks, and authorized retail partners starting next month, March 2015, for only Php 15,500. But as early as now, you can already grab a unit at Lazada for a thousand pesos less.
TP Friends, like what I shared previously, I'm thoroughly impressed with the performance of my Cherry Mobile Alpha Morph; At Php 11,999 and with top-notch specs, it remains to be one of the best 'value for money' convertibles out in the market (and it doesn't hurt that it even has a folding 'origami style' keyboard case that looks very interesting). Just from looking at press photos and given everything I've read and heard so far about Shift, I'm totally excited to get hold of this amazing follow-up. Thumbs up, Cherry Mobile!
