Double Apple iPhone 6 Battery Life Easily and Permanently with Mugen Power Case
We've done many features about Apple's current flagship handset here in TechPinas and if there's anything we know for sure, it's that the iPhone 6 is an amazing smartphone. In fact, in terms of design, construction, smoothness of touch response, size of games and app market, and ecosystem, it could very well be the best mobile device out there.
But if there's one area where it remains to be inferior compared to other top-of-the-line handsets in the market, it would have to be in terms of uptime. I mean, I barely get a whole day of mixed usage using my iPhone 6 -- and that's even after disabling background app refresh and keeping my display brightness below 25%.
What's up with that, Apple? This is my fourth iPhone - since the iPhone 4S - and it's odd that this issue remains unresolved after all those years. I'm tired of always having to bring my powerbank with me everywhere I do just to make sure my phone won't totally run out of juice of the middle of the day. It's very stressful and inconvenient and really think that Apple fans - like me - deserve better.
Anyway, instead of wasting my time ranting and whining on social media and Apple forums, I decided to just purchase this new Power Case from Mugen to solve my problem as it easily doubles the uptime of my iPhone 6.
It's a basically a case that has a 2,100 mAh battery inside it that can charge the iPhone 6 on the go. (Side note: Apple iPhone 6 has a 1,810 mAh non-removable battery.) It's very convenient to use because - unlike a regular powerbank - it attaches to your smartphone just like a protective case and it doesn't require wires when you use it on the go.
I placed and confirmed my order via Mugen's Official Website last February 3, 2015 and FedEx delivered the package to my doorstep on February 5, 2015.
The total amount that I paid for this Mugen Power Case is Php 4,300. It's by no means 'cheap' -- but at least, I'm no longer a "wall hugger" and I now have peace of mind in knowing that my iPhone 6 won't run out of juice come late afternoon or while on my way home from an event in the evening. If only for that, I highly recommend this accessory. If you ask me, I think it's a must-have for every iPhone 6 owner.

Simply slip your iPhone through the groove on the body of the case, insert the cap, and you're good to go! So easy!
Mugen doesn't really call it a 'protective' case (that can rival Otterbox or Tech21) but I think it offers some of protection for your device against scratches and bumps.
And I like that it's not too heavy nor too hefty. It's actually rather slim and light.
Short press on the button at the back to check how much juice is left on the case (if four LED bulbs light up it means that the case still fully charges). Long press on the button to start charging your iPhone 6. Long press on it again to halt charging.
There are holes and grooves on either sides of the Mugen Power Case for the silent switch as well as for the volume up, volume down, and power buttons.
I love that it doesn't add too much bulk to my iPhone. It's sexy and it gives me peace of mind while I'm on the road; Can't really ask for more.
At the bottom of the case, you will find holes for the loud speaker, the microUSB port for charging it, and a rather big hole for the audio jack allowing you to use a variety of earphones.

On top of the $79.50 that I paid Mugen for the case (via Paypal), I had to shell out an additional Php 736.60 as shipment and customs processing fee.
