Lenovo A6000 Philippines Price and Release Date Guesstimate, Complete Specs, Key Features
Lenovo Mobile sold boatloads of this particular handset model (10,000 units in just 2 seconds, to be exact) during its launch in India just last week -- and understandably so. It has decent technical specifications; It supports 4G LTE connectivity; And above all, it's very affordable.
With SRP of only 6,999 Indian Rupees or $113 USD (that's roughly Php 5,000 with current conversion and before taxes), Lenovo A6000 could very well be the most affordable Quad Core 5-inch HD smartphone in the market that supports ultra-fast LTE mobile connection. But that's not the only thing that's special about it.
In terms of specs, the handset is equipped with a 5-inch HD IPS display, an 8 MegaPixel autofocus camera at the back with LED flash, a 2 MegaPixel front cam for selfies, a Full HD video recorder, and a removable 2,000 mAh Li-Po battery pack.
Under the hood, A6000 runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system with a Quad Core 1.2 GHz ARM Cortex A53 and Adreno 306 GPU based Qualcomm MSM8916 Snapdragon 410 chipset, handles multitasking with 1 GB of RAM, and has 8 GB of expandable storage. These may not sound like much but, considering the very affordable price tag of the device, it's hard not to be impressed.
Lenovo A6000 is out now in India but is it also coming to the Philippines? Well, according to our trusted industry insider, this Dual SIM Dual Standby model is definitely coming to the Philippines within Q1 2015. In fact, when you look at the photo above, you will see our NTC logo clearly printed on the plastic plate underneath the battery -- so, for sure, it's headed to our local market. As for its suggested retail price in Pinas, I'm guessing this one should come in at around Php 5,500 to Php 6,000. But again, I'm hoping it will be far more affordable than that.

Apart from 4G support, what sets A6000 apart from other affordable smartphones that are currently available is that it features Lenovo's very own Vibe 2.0 user interface which doesn't only look clutter-free but also comes with unique software enhancements from the Chinese electronics company.
On top of that, the phone comes replete with dual stereo speakers and Dolby Digital Plus surround sound for a great music listening experience. (Photos by GeekyRanjit)
