Alcatel OneTouch Watch Price is Just $150 : Can Work with iPhone and Android Smartphones
This is one of the smartwatches that I'm fancying this year. I'm quite smitten with Alcatel OneTouch Watch because it looks elegant, it's affordable, and it can work my iPhone 6 and 6 Plus as well as all of my Android handsets. Yes, it's very flexible in that sense.
Offering the 'Watch' at a mere fraction of the cost of its popular competitors (like the Moto 360 and the iPhone Watch), Alcatel has implemented or utilized its design expertise to offer a series of fine finishes that meet the demands of stylish techies who are on the look out for a wearable with flair that has the same look and feel as a traditional watch.
"It’s called a wearable, so we wanted to make something that would be a pleasure to wear," said Mr. Dan Dery, Chief Marketing Officer of Alcatel OneTouch. "The watch face and the band are slim, like a regular watch, but it has the multi-functionality of a smartwatch."
Alcatel OneTouch Watch is made of premium materials such as brushed chrome, micro-textured resin bands and white stainless steel. According to the French electronics company, "This choice of finishes assures that it will appeal to both men and women, demonstrating Alcatel OneTouch's dedication to bringing to the market products that fulfill everyone’s needs."
The Watch runs on an operating system made by Alcatel itself that allows the wearable to be paired with and to work with the iPhone (running iOS 7 and above) as well as all Android smartphones (running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and above).
As a smart device, Alcatel OneTouch Watch - with its heart rate sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, altimeter and e-compass - can monitor your activities like your sleep cycle, distance covered (when jogging or in a marathon), steps taken and calories burned while working out. To monitor their fitness goals, users can access the activity overview that the Watch offers.
Additionally, Alcatel says that this wearable - when paired with a smartphone - is capable of sending call notifications as well as social media updates and it vibrates if the user strays too far from his or her handset. Touching the Watch's screen activates a multimedia remote control that you can use to play music tracks, take pictures from their phone from a distance, or make their phone ring in order to find it. Neat eh?
Alcatel OneTouch Watch is now out for pre-order in the company's key markets around the world for only $150 or around Php 6,650 with current conversion. It's available in Sporty Dark Red (Volcano Black), Feminine All-White, Classic Chrome (Dark Gray), and Elegant Metal-White. Here's to hoping Alcatel OneTouch Philippines brings this product to our country as soon as possible. Honestly, I wish its battery was bigger (it's just 210 mah) but nonetheless, I'll certainly check out this wearable as soon as it lands here.
