MyPhone Infinity 2 Price is Php 12,799 : Sleek Octa Core, Dual LTE Flagship Release
Local electronics giant MyPhone has just officially launched its 2015 flagship release, the Infinity 2, which dons an official suggested retail price of Php 12,799. Now, before you tell me that it's darn expensive, allow me to share with you five reasons why it could be well worth every penny.
First, I think it's easily the most sleek and slimmest top-of-the line model that the company has churned out thus far. The first generation Infinity - that flaunts a glass-metal-glass sandwich design identity and is a TechPinas Badge of Excellence Awardee - is quite a looker as well but this year's version, I would say, is not only slimmer but also features a more luxurious construction.
Speaking of construction, that's the second thing that's great about this model. It features a real metal unibody frame that's crafted from Magnalium, which is lighter but more durable than steel. Magnalium is basically an alloy that's made from aluminum, magnesium and small amounts of nickel, tin, and copper.
Third, the Infinity 2 is equipped with a 5-inch AMOLED display, which is quite a rarity in handsets by our local players. AMOLED is brighter and more vibrant than IPS panels found on most Pinoy smartphones and since it doesn't require LED back-lighting, it's what allowed the second general Infinity to be as thin as it is.
Fourth, MyPhone Infinity 2 comes with two good cameras. The main one at the back is a 13 MegaPixel shooter with Sony IMX214 sensor paired with f/2.0 aperture that allows it to take clear and crisp images even in low light conditions. This complemented by the 5 MegaPixel selfie cam in front with soft LED flash that lets you take self-portraits even in settings where there's practically no ambient light available.
Finally, this 2015 top-of-the-line handset - as expected - comes with the best technical specifications that MyPhone could have given a smartphone to date. The Infinity 2 runs its myUI-skinned Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system with an Octa Core 1.5 GHz ARM Cortex A53 and Mali-T760 based MediaTek MT6752M chipset, handles multitasking with 2 GB of RAM, and comes with 16 GB of ROM that you can augment using the phone's secondary nanoSIM card slot that doubles as a microSD card expansion slot.
Are you cool with those five reasons? Let me know our thoughts about this smartphone using our comments section below.
Dual LTE Dual Standby MyPhone Infinity 2 is now available at all MyPhone concept stores and partner retailers nationwide. I believe it's out in two colors, Gold and Grey. Stay tuned for more TP Features about this cool flagship model.
