BlackBerry Venice 2015 Flagship Slider Smartphone Specs, Leaked! Revamped BlackBerry Torch?
I've always felt that BlackBerry's purported 2015 flagship smartphone is quite a looker -- ever since Mr. Ron Louks, Global Head of Advanced Technology and Research at BlackBerry, showed the device to tech bloggers and members of the media last March 2, 2015 at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
Now, I'm learning that it's going to be a true powerhouse release in terms of technical specifications as well. According to 'insiders', codename 'BlackBerry Venice' is going to have the the same chipset that powers the LG G4 and will come with the same amount of RAM, which says a lot about the Canadian company's new top-of-the-line slider.
Rumors have it that 'Venice' will run the latest version of the BlackBerry 10 OS (or Android, say some) with its Hexa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset, handle multitasking with 3GB of RAM, and will sport a 5.4-inch Quad HD display, a fretted full QWERTY keyboard, a 16 MegaPixel autofocus camera, and a 5 MegaPixel selfie cam in front. If these are accurate, then it looks like BlackBerry will have pretty strong flagship-level model this year.
As I've shared in a previous TP post, prior to the release of BlackBerry 10 OS, BlackBerry Torch 9810 was my favorite BB model. I loved that the slider phone gave me more screen space to enjoy content and at the same time, it allowed me to type faster and more accurately on its tactile, physical keyboard. Obviously, BlackBerry Venice will the 2015 update to the legacy Torch line and I'm so excited how the refresh looks and works in the flesh when it gets released come Yuletide season.
