Meizu M2 Note Philippines Price at Novo7Tech Stores is Php 7,490, Php 6,990 via Lazada Flash Sale
Great news for Meizu fans in the Philippines! Our friends from Novo7Tech - the official distributor of Meizu smartphones in the country - have just informed me that the budget-friendly powerhouse phablet, M2 Note, is finally set to land here within this month via Lazada and in August at all of their stores nationwide.
"Meizu M2 Note will sell for Php 7,490 when it becomes available at all Novo7Tech physical stores this coming August. But we will have a flash sale in partnership with Lazada within this month to launch the phone online and there, we will sell it for only Php 6,990," Sir Oliver of Novo7Tech told me.
The M2 Note looks largely identical to the handset it superseded, the best selling M1 Note. The two phablets have the exact same width and their non-removable polycarbonate back plate have the same sleek ceramic-like finish and design.
The two device's display and imaging capabilities are also similar. They share the same 5.5-inch Full HD IGZO display, 13 MegaPixel autofocus camera with Dual Tone LED flash and 5 MegaPixel selfie cam package.
Nonetheless, the latest model is better than its predecessor in at least three ways. First, it now has a physical home button - albeit lacking a fingerprint sensor - giving it an updated look reminiscent of its more expensive sibling, the MX5. Second, it runs on the new 64-Bit Octa Core MediaTek MT6753 chipset. And finally, it features the latest version of Flyme OS - that's v.4.5 - atop Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system.
To quote Meizu, "The latest generation 64-bit MT6753 CPU features eight Cortex A53 cores which intelligently allocates resources according to demand. This makes it perfect for every situation, whether it's a heavy 3D game or a simple task. The 64-bit Mali T720 triple-core GPU ensures smooth video playback."
"The Meizu M2 Note supports both TD-LTE and FDD-LTE 4G, meaning that you can switch between them without any limitation. Two Nano-SIM cards can be inserted into the M2 Note's single tray. The card tray supports TF cards with a storage capacity up to 128GB," they added.
If you're on a tight budget and you want to spend your hard-earned cash on an Android phablet that doesn't only look good but also delivers when it comes to imaging and gaming performance, you might want to check out Meizu M2 Note. I'm a very happy M1 Note owner and I'm really looking forward to seeing for myself what its successor has to offer.
