Asus ZenFone 2 Deluxe Philippines 128GB Price is Php 17,995
Several days ago, I shared with you guys that Asus launched a ZenFone 2 Deluxe variant in Brazil with a whopping 256GB of internal storage -- and just like me, many of you got excited about the model and hoped that it would likewise be released here.
Well, yesterday, the Taiwanese electronics company - via ZenFestival Manila held at Green Sun AXON in Makati City - formally introduced Asus ZenFone 2 Deluxe in the Philippines. But here's the thing: The model that we're getting only has 128GB of ROM. I know! I was wishing that we'd also get the 256GB version but I guess 128GB isn't so bad. And who knows? Some day, Asus might actually launch the variant with bigger storage in our country. We'll just have to wait and see.
Except for its sizable ROM and its unique back cover with 'multifaced polygonal finish', this Deluxe version has the exact same technical specifications of the best-selling Asus ZenFone 2 ZE551ML flagship release.
At its heart, this special model runs its Zen-UI-skinned Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system with a 64-Bit Quad Core 2.3 GHz Intel Atom Z3580 chipset, has 4GB of RAM for seamless and fast multitasking, and is powered by non-removable 3,000 mAh Li-Po battery pack with BoostMaster fast-charging technology.
On the outside, ZenFone 2 Deluxe flaunts a 5.5 Full HD IPS+ TruVivid display panel underneath scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass 3 touchscreen, a 13 MP autofocus main camera with Dual Tone LED flash and PixelMaster technology for enhanced low-light performance, a 5 MegaPixel selfie camera in front with wide-angle lens, Full HD video recorder, three capacitive navigation buttons below the screen, a volume rocker made of real metal that's located at the back, a microUSB 2.0 port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Again, these specs simply mirror what you'll get on the regular ZenFone 2 ZE551ML.
In terms of design, the distinguishing characteristic of the Asus ZenFone 2 Deluxe is its back panel, which features this first-of-its-kind finish that's reminiscent of diamond cuts. There are three colors currently available; White, Blue, and Purple -- all having an iridescent look that changes shade, gleam, or tone depending on how light hits it.
Offering such a generous amount of internal storage, this particular model - I believe - would be ideal for those who love taking photos and shooting videos. And because 128GB is almost as big as the SSD storage of some laptops, ZenFone 2 Deluxe can also be used as a remote or wireless file storage device.
Donning an official SRP of Php 17,995, Asus ZenFone 2 Deluxe will be at all Asus Concept Stores and authorized retail stores across the country come the first week of September 2015.

Given that this model comes with the same features and even offers a couple special enhancements, I think this freshly launched 128GB Deluxe version will be an even better purchase. I give it my two thumbs up!
