MyPhone My31 Price is Php 3,999 via 8th Anniversary Sale! 5-inch HD Octa Core Smartphone For Less!
Our friends from MyPhone will be celebrating the 8th anniversary of their company next month, September 2015. And as early as a few weeks ago, they already started doing fun and meaningful activities that are all part of the build-up.
For instance, last August 28, they re-signed Daniel Padilla, Devon Seron, and Kyle Vergara as celebrity endorsers who will help them promote their current and upcoming feature phones, smartphones, and tablets. Clearly, unlike other handset companies that have moved on to tapping tech bloggers to be their partners and ambassadors, MyPhone still firmly believes in the selling power of TV stars and personalities. It's their marketing style and I think we should all respect that.
Recently, MyPhone also quietly launched their new logo design, which went with the return of the 'Philippine map' on their handsets' back covers -- perhaps to reinforce their local, proudly-Pinoy branding. I'm obviously very nationalistic so I welcome this development with open arms. But that's me. Let me know your thoughts about this in our comments section.
Last week, as a sign of gratitude to its loyal fans for supporting them through all these years, MyPhone announced that it will be slashing Php 1,000 off the SRP of its freshly released My31 Android smartphone -- bringing its price down to just Php 3,999 from Php 4,999 (if my arithmetic serves me right). This generous promo will be valid from September 1 to 30, 2015 only.
The first model in the company's all-new 'My' series of budget-friendly devices, MyPhone My31 is equipped with a 5-inch HD IPS display panel, an 8 MegaPixel autofocus camera with LED flash, 2 MP selfie cam, and a 2,500 mAh battery pack. At its heart, it runs vanilla Android 4.4 KitKat operating system with a 1.4 GHz Octa Core ARM Cortex A7 and Mali 450-MP4 based MediaTek MT6592M chipset, has 1 GB of RAM, and 8GB of expandable storage. My31 is also one of the first new generation handsets from MyPhone to ship with version 3 of the company's Pinoy Content app, which is a repository of audio prayers, novenas, religious songs, soft copy of the Bible, Pinoy trivia, recipes and other content that are relevant to the lives of many Filipinos -- especially the devout Catholics. My mom loves that app!
That's it for now, TP Friends. I'll keep you posted on the brand's upcoming activities as soon as we get information about them. But right now, I hope you can join me in saying, "Happy 8th Anniversary, MyPhone! Cheers!"
