Meizu MX5 Pro Specs and Design, Leaked!
It looks like it's only a matter of time now before Meizu finally introduces its latest flagship model, the MX5 Pro phablet. I mean, the device has already been spotted in the wild and even its press photos have been leaked.
Just like Meizu MX4 Pro that was released in the Philippines back in February, Meizu MX5 Pro - if we were to believe these images - flaunts a shell that's made of real metal and has similar design elements including the circular camera module at the back and the CNC-cuts on the sides of the frame.
As for its specs, various sources and insiders say that the handset should run on either a 64-Bit Octa-Core Exynos 7420 or a Deca-Core Helio X20 chipset - that's complemented by 4GB of RAM - and feature a 21 MegaPixel camera and 5.5-inch Full HD 1080p display.
If you remember, the MX4 Pro's 5.5-inch display already has 2K resolution, which leads one to wonder why Meizu opted to go for the downgrade. To improve battery life and screen responsiveness, perhaps?
Anyway, the base version of the phablet is expected to don a sub-$500 price tag when it hits the shelves in China later this year; That's around Php 23,300 with current conversion.
Novo7Tech is the official distributor of Meizu smartphones in the Philippines and I believe that they now planning to bring this handset model here. Last February, they offered the then-freshly-launched 32GB variant of Meizu MX4 Pro for Php 20,990. And I'm guessing that they'd give the MX5 Pro the same price when it becomes available at their stores.

Though it now has bands at back reminiscent of the Apple iPhone 6 and 6S Plus.
