OPPO R7 Lite and R7 Plus, Officially Launched in the Philippines : Priced at Php 13,990 and Php 21,990, Respectively
OPPO R7 Lite smartphone and R7 Plus phablet, which both flaunt a tough and elegant unibody magnesium alloy shell, have just been launched in the Philippines via an exclusive media event held at the Isla Ballroom of EDSA Shangri-La Hotel in Mandaluyong City.
The two high-end models share the same 64-Bit Octa Core Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 chipset, 2.5 D Arc-Edge Gorilla Glass 3 touchscreen, 13 MegaPixel main camera with Schneider-Kreuznach ISOCELL optics, 8 MegaPixel front cam for selfies, Color-OS-flavored Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system, Dual SIM Dual Standby Capability (Hybrid nano + micro) and 4G LTE Cat4 connectivity support.
Obviously, though, OPPO R7 Plus is the bigger model -- and it also happens to be more feature-packed and powerful. The phablet sports an ultra-large 6-inch Full HD 4128 x 3096 pixels AMOLED display, a fingerprint sensor at the back, and a big 4,100 mAh battery pack. Under the hood, its processor is complemented by 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage.
In comparison, R7 Lite only has a 5-inch HD 720 x 1280 pixels AMOLED display, lacks a finger scanner, and has a smaller 2,320 non-removable Li-Po battery pack. At its heart, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of ROM join its chipset in providing users with a decent mobile multitasking experience.
OPPO R7 Plus' superiority in terms of specs makes it more expensive at Php 21,990 while the more modest R7 Lite goes for only Php 13,990. Both phones are now up for purchase at OPPO Concept Stores, kiosks, and authorized partners nationwide. More about these cool handsets on TechPinas soon! Stay tuned!
For now, allow me to share with you some photos from the event courtesy of our friends at OPPO Philippines.
"The OPPO R7 Lite and Plus are crafted from a single piece of high-strength, aircraft-grade magnesium aluminum alloy -- with 91% metal ratio. The back of the #OPPOR7 Series is shaped using a violin-arc design, giving the phones a comfortable grip. [Both phones] have 2.5D arc-edge screens, so you can slide your fingers on them much more naturally," explained Mr. Barcza.
He added, "The R7 Series is not just about style; It's also about flash: flash shot, flash operation, and flash charge. The two models feature a dual-drive hybrid camera focus system, translating to fast and accurate focus. You'll never miss a second w/the OPPO R7 Series' Flash Shot tech. [We didn't skimp on these handsets' camera sensors.] OPPO smartphones are known for their fantastic imaging platform, Pure Image."
"With ColorOS 2.1, w/c is based on Android Lollipop, the R7 Series performs faster and is more stable than ever. The OPPO R7 Lite is for daily use while the R7 Plus is for those looking for stronger performance. Both are equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8-core, 64-bit processor, and an AMOLED screen. And the R7 Plus' VOOC flash-charging system (for its 4,100 mAh battery), a 5-min charge will give you enough power for a 2-hr call."
OPPO R7 Lite and R7 Plus will go head to head with other Snapdragon-615-powered, imaging-centric smartphone releases by competing multinational brands, including the Lenovo Vibe Shot, Xiaomi Mi4i, Sony Xperia M4 Aqua, Samsung Galaxy A8, and Asus ZenFone Selfie -- all of which are now officially available in the Philippines.
