Cherry Mobile Flare 4 Price is Php 4,999, Specs, Release Date, In The Flesh Photos
Set to hit store shelves come the third weekend of October - most likely starting on Friday, October 16, 2015 - the freshly unveiled Cherry Mobile Flare 4 - as its name suggests - is the follow-up to the successful Flare 3 from 2014.
This year's model represents a clear upgrade not only in terms of technical specifications but even more so when it comes to its design and construction.
"We really wanted to make our new Flare models look more premium this year so we made use of materials like CNC-prepared aluminum and 2.5D DragonTrail Glass in crafting their shell. But despite now having a more luxurious build, the Flare 4 - just like its siblings - is still very affordable, as one would expect of a handset from this series," Mr. Lonson Alejandrino told me during our conversation after the phone was introduced by Ms. Anne Curtis, the company's newest celebrity endorser, at the New World Hotel in Makati yesterday afternoon.
Flaunting a rounded look reminiscent of Samsung's "pebble-inspired" design language, Cherry Mobile Flare 4 sports a a 5-inch HD IPS display panel, and a 13 MegaPixel autofocus main camera with single LED flash plus 5 MegaPixel front selfie cam, which both feature a back-illuminated (BSI) sensor for enhanced low light performance.
At its heart, CM Flare 4 runs its near-stock Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system with a 64-Bit 1.3 GHz ARM Cortex ARM Cortex A53 and 700 MHz Mali T720 MP3 GPU based MediaTek MT6753 chipset, handles multitasking with 2 GB of RAM, and has 16GB of ROM that you can beef up using the device's microSD card memory expansion slot. The device is powered by a removable 2,100 mAh Li-Ion battery pack, which - according to our friends from CM - should deliver at least a whole day of uptime with regular use.
"For me, the Flare line has always been about value for money. Most people tend to think that models in this series just embody affordability -- but actually, it's not as simple as that. I'm glad that Cherry Mobile has decided to show everyone that Flare phones can also look and feel premium and still have a price tag that budget-conscious consumers like students and yuppies can afford," I told Sir Lonson.
Having Dual SIM (two microSIM) Dual Standby capability and supporting 4G LTE mobile connectivity, Cherry Mobile Flare 4 dons an official suggested price of only Php 4,999 (believe it!) and it comes in four colors, namely, Gold, White, Black, and Pink.
