Sony Xperia Z5 is the latest iteration to the company's very successful Z-Series top-of-the-line models, flaunting an - arguably - improved OmniBalance design language and IP65/68 water-resistance certification, protecting the device against accidental spills and splashes.
Like Sony Xperia Z5 Compact and Z5 Premium, this standard model sports a 23 MegaPixel main camera with 1/2.3” Exmor RS for mobile sensor for enhanced low light performance and Hybrid AutoFocus letting the user focus on his subject in just 0.03 seconds. Sony launched three flagship handsets this year, the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact, Z5, and Z5 Premium -- all having the same processing power and imaging capabilities. The Sony Xperia Z5 is right smack in the middle of the pack in terms of size.
This year's model looks a lot like its predecessor from last year. It has a mid-frame made of anodized aluminum sandwiched between two sheets of glass - albeit the one at the back has a matte finish instead of glossy on previous models. All four corners of the handset have these tough polycarbonate caps, which could absorb impact if the user accidentally drops the device.
