Sony Xperia Z5 Philippines Price is Php 35,990, Complete Specs, Actual Unit Photos, Release Date
Sony Xperia Z5 - the 2015 flagship smartphone of the legendary Japanese electronics company - is now officially up for puchase in the Philippines.
Available in four colors with matte back-plate finish - namely, Gold, Green, White, and Graphite Black - the stunning and ultra-elegant Xperia Z5 dons an official local SRP of Php 35,990. making it the direct competitor of Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge in terms of price (among other things).
Sony Xperia Z5 is the latest iteration to the company's very successful Z-Series top-of-the-line models, flaunting an - arguably - improved OmniBalance design language and IP65/68 water-resistance certification, protecting the device against accidental spills and splashes.
Like Sony Xperia Z5 Compact and Z5 Premium, this standard model sports a 23 MegaPixel main camera with 1/2.3” Exmor RS for mobile sensor for enhanced low light performance and Hybrid AutoFocus letting the user focus on his subject in just 0.03 seconds. This top-notch imaging module makes all three 2015 Sony Z-Series models line-up as the top cameraphones this year in terms of real world performance, according to DxOMark.
The phones' main camera can also take 4K videos and with the Sony's SteadyShot technology, you can be sure that your videos will look steady even when you record them while you're walking or even when your hands aren't steady. There's also a 5.1 MegaPixel wide-angle front cam with back-illuminated sensor that you can use to snap crisp and clear selfies with your friends in just one frame.
At its heart, Sony Xperia Z5 runs its Xperia-UI-skinned Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system with a beastly 64-Bit Octa Core Quadcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset, handles multitasking with 3GB of RAM, and has 32GB of expandable storage. This set puts his release in the same bracket as Samsung Galaxy Note5 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ when it comes to raw power and gaming performance.
As many of you know, I've been a Sony Xperia Z-Series flagship smartphone owner since the best-selling Sony Xperia Z1 and I have had the best experience with all of the legendary Japanese company's top-of-the-line handset models. They've been my daily drivers and I can really say that in terms of design, build, battery life, smoothness of touch response, and - especially - imaging capabilities, Sony Xperia Z-Series models are definitely top-notch. That said, I highly recommend Sony Xperia Z5.

Sony launched three flagship handsets this year, the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact, Z5, and Z5 Premium -- all having the same processing power and imaging capabilities. The Sony Xperia Z5 is right smack in the middle of the pack in terms of size.
This year's model looks a lot like its predecessor from last year. It has a mid-frame made of anodized aluminum sandwiched between two sheets of glass - albeit the one at the back has a matte finish instead of glossy on previous models. All four corners of the handset have these tough polycarbonate caps, which could absorb impact if the user accidentally drops the device.
Unlike its older siblings which merely had a 'metal stud' for a power button, the one on Sony Xperia Z5 is bigger and now incorporated a fingerprint scanner for quickly unlocking the phone and making purchases on Google Play Store.
The smartphone's 2,700 mAh battery pack - delivering around 2-days of uptime with regular use - is non-removable. This metal flap on the left panel of the device covers Xperia Z5's microSD and nano-SIM card slots.
Although not covered by a flap of metal or plastic, Xperia Z5's microUSB port has an internal lining protecting it against water damage and ingress.
Protected by scratch-resistant glass, the handset's 5.2-inch Full HD Triluminos IPS display features the Japanese company's X-Reality for Mobile screen innovation that gives you brilliant and more realistic colors, perfect for when you're viewing photos, browsing web pages, or watching movies on the device.
