Even MyPhone knows that one can only milk the halo effect of a best-selling product so much. It appears that the company has officially shelved its 'Rio' nomenclature (alluding to its very popular first generation Rio release from 2014) for good as it now introduces its 'my' Series of Android handsets for the latter part of this year spilling over to the first half of 2016.

As yet, we are clueless as to exact number of models (with straight-forward alphanumeric names) that the company is poised to launch before 2015 closes. So far, they have only unveiled details about the following handsets, ranging from entry-level to midrange:

The Pinoy handset company recently uploaded this poster on Facebook showing an image of their upcoming my32 Android handset. According to our sources, its specs are largely identical to that of MyPhone my33 but it has a slightly smaller battery pack at just 2,000 mAh. It is said that the phone will don the same Php 4,999 price tag but will be available in more colors, including Yellow, Red, and Orange. We'll give you more details about this model in the coming days.

Looking at this new product line-up and studying their specs, it is clear that despite the decision of our friends at MyPhone to change their handset naming system, their 'value for money' proposition remains the same.
