Cherry Mobile Flare S Play and Cherry Mobile Selfie : My #CherryChristmas Terrific Ten Picks!
Like what I shared with you guys last week, my two handset picks from Cherry Mobile's #CherryChristmas Terrific Ten list are the freshly released Flare S Play and the Cherry Mobile Selfie, which is still the best selfie-centric Android handset that you can get from the company as of today.
I chose these two because I think they fit my personality as well as my interests well. I'm into pop culture so I love watching TV to keeping myself updated with the latest news and coolest trends in fashion, science, gadgets... name it! And - for some reason - I also love to take selfies, both on my own and with friends. I dunno why, I couldn't help myself!
For those who are seeing it for the first time, Cherry Mobile Flare S Play is the first company from Cherry Mobile that features an ISDB Digital TV receiver. DTV is basically the next generation free TV broadcast superseding Analog; What's special about this is that its picture and audio quality are a lot clearer compared to its predecessor. And what's cool is that the country's biggest TV networks - including ABS-CBN, GMA7, and TV5 - have started broadcasting high-quality Digital TV channels that you can enjoy on phones like this.
Priced at Php 4,999, Cherry Mobile Flare S Play is equipped with a 5-inch HD IPS display panel, 13 MegaPixel autofocus main camera with LED flash, 5 MegaPixel front cam for selfies, and a Full HD video recorder. Under the hood, it runs near-vanilla Android operating system with its 1.4 GHz Octa Core MediaTek MT6592M chipset, has 2GB of RAM for seamless multitasking, and comes with 16GB of expandable storage. Having Dual SIM Dual Standby capability and supporting 4G LTE mobile data speeds, this handset is powered by a 2,200 mAh battery pack delivering around 8 hours of uptime.
On the other hand, Cherry Mobile Selfie - as its very name suggests - is specifically crafted for consumers who look to take photos of themselves using their phone's front-facing camera. What's particularly special about this phone is that its selfie shooter is just as powerful as the main camera at the back and the former even has a soft LED flash allowing users to take shots even in extreme low light conditions. On top of that, Cherry Mobile also included Beauty Camera that instantly fixes subtle skin imperfections, giving you great-looking selfies that are ready for sharing on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter.
2014 TechPinas Badge of Excellence Awardee CM Selfie used to be one of the most expensive smartphones by the company with official SRP of Php 9,999 -- and understandably so given its then top-notch specs headlined by its 1.7 GHz Octa Core MediaTek MT6592 SoC, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of ROM, 4.7-inch HD IPS display, and Dual 13MP camera combo. Now, you can get this amazing release for only Php 5,999, which is real sweet!
