Coloud The Bang Speaker Price Php 1,250, Unboxing, Specs, Actual Unit Photos, Impressions
Looking for an affordable and pocket-friendly yet fairly powerful speaker to give yourself or a loved one this season? Well, I highly recommend that you check out Coloud The Bang.
This one sells for only Php 1,250 at Beyond The Box and Digital Walker stores nationwide -- and yet, for that amount, it already delivers a more than decent music listening experience.
Looks-wise, The Bang is inspired by Coloud's triangular logo itself. From the top, I think it looks like a lotus seed pod, which makes it - uhm - quite interesting. (OK, maybe not for those with trypophobia.)
Coloud found a way to integrate the flat wire into the design of the speaker. There's a cavity lining the bottom of the tube where you can tuck in the rather short wire neatly.
Unraveling the wire exposes the microUSB charging port.
The power switch is located at the base, in the middle of the Coloud logo.
Coloud The Bang is so easy to use. Just make sure it has enough charge, turn it on, and connect it to your feature phone, smartphone, tablet, or notebook's 3.5mm audio jack. Play your favorite tracks and chill!
Coloud The Bang is not Bluetooth-enabled but when it comes to sound quality - the clarity of vocals, the rambling basses, and the crystalline trebles - it's right up there with the best of them in this price echelon. I invite you try it out in a BTB or Digital Walker outlet near you.
The standard retail package includes a microUSB charging cable as well as the user guide.
The product information and complete technical specifications (for the audio geeks) are printed on the board covering the bottom of the pack; Play time on a full charge is around 8 hours. Max output is 94 dB SPL, 1 kHz @ 0.5m, groundplane. 102 dB SPL, 4.5 kHz @ 0.5m, groundplane. Frequency response is 200 Hz - 15 kHz +/- 8dB.
Any points for improvement, if at all? Hmm, I kinda wish that the wire was a bit longer; But I understand that Coloud had to keep it short to be able to properly incorporate it into the design of the product. So it's alright.
Overall, I think Coloud The Bang - just like all other products from this cool international manufacturer - gives users more value than the amount of money that they spend on it. And as such, this should be a great gift to give someone dear to you regardless of the occasion or celebration.

This release is available in a number of youthful hues and color combos. I just have the more traditional black version here.
