O+ 8.97 Price is Php 3,995, Specs, Features : Great Value For Money Android Lollipop Smartphone!
With official suggested retail price of just Php 3,995, the new O+ 8.97 is one of the most affordable 5-inch Quad Core Android Lollipop Android smartphone that you can get in the Philippine market as of Q4 2015.
Known for crafting reliable smartphones with durable build and for its top-notch after-sales service, O+ USA has started releasing budget-friendly handset models that give great bang for the benefit of Pinoy consumers. As you all know, I'm always on the side of you guys - my fellow Filipino gadget lovers - so I love this decision by the company.
Sporting a 5-inch WVGA IPS display, 5 MegaPixel autofocus rear cam with LED flash, HD video recorder, Dual microSIM Dual Standby capability, and 3G HSPA+ support, O+ 8.97 is one of many such models.
This one is powered by a 2,000 mAh battery pack delivering around 8 hours of uptime and runs on a 1.3 Quad Core processor - most probably by Spreadtrum - ensuring a fairly smooth gaming and overall touch experience. The SoC complemented by 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage for photos, videos, and other content.
Again, it's operating system is Android 5.0 Lollipop, which is slightly customized with O+ icons and comes with O+ Innovations including Call and Type - that lets you write down notes while you're in a call, Flip to Silent - putting your smartphone in Silent Mode as soon as you flip it on its face, and the very popular Air Shuffle, which lets you take photos and browse images just by waving your hand in front of the proximity sensor in front.
As for O+ 8.97's design, well, as you can see it's not bad looking at all. The back has a matte finish and it has a silver rim that makes it look more expensive than it actually is. In terms of build, as expected, it has reassuring heft and I think this can certainly take the knocks and bumps of daily use.
O+ 8.97 is now available across the country; I heard it's moving fast so check it out as soon as you can. The handset is out in three colors, namely, White, Black, and Dark Blue.
Not to mention, its 2 MegaPixel front-facing camera takes pretty decent looking selfies, which I'm sure consumers like me will appreciate.

"Sobrang sulit po nito sir sa Php 3,995," the saleslady at the O+ store in SM Mall of Asia CyberZone told me during my visit last week. And I agree. To be totally fair, I don't think any consumer can go wrong getting this one. Go ahead and give it a test run at an O+ Concept Store or kiosk near you.
