Cherry Mobile Watch N5 Price is Php 1,999, Unboxing, Actual Unit Photos!
"Kuya Mark, have you seen Cherry Watch N5 in the flesh? I have yet to see one in stores."
"Sir, is the body of Cherry Watch N5 made of real metal?"
"Is the back cover removable?"
"Kuya, can I send text messages using Cherry Watch N5?"
"I heard N5 features a camera. Is it true, Mark?"
These are only some of the questions that my readers have sent me regarding the new Cherry Mobile Watch N5. Actually, just like you guys, I also had the same inquiries. I'd been visiting CM stores since last month when I saw press photos of this device on the company's marketing collaterals just to see how the actual unit looks -- to no avail. "Sir, parating palang and N5," the sales staff would always tell me.
Thankfully, a few days ago, I finally got to see Cherry Mobile Watch N5 in the flesh when I visited the company's headquarters in Manila.
I took the opportunity to snap shots of the smartwatch and its packaging for the benefit of other CM fans who are interested in this cool release. Let me tell you, this one's another winner from Cherry Mobile.
Cherry Watch N5 ships in this square box that's similar to that of most wristwatches in the market. At the bottom, CM listed down the accessory's key technical specifications.
The main body of the watch has dimensions of 49 x 41 x 10.3 millimeters and flaunts a metal alloy shell that gives it an air of durability and elegance. Frankly, it looks a lot like the Apple Watch. In fact, from a far, those who are not too geeky could mistake it for the Cupertino company's wearable.
On the right panel, you'll find the device's power button as well as the microUSB port - for charging it and connecting the earphones - covered and protected from water ingress by a metal flap.
Cherry Watch N5 is equipped with a square IPS display panel that measures 1.54-inch across, underneath a capacitive glass touchscreen.
The user interface is largely the same as that of Cherry Mobile G1 smartwatch from early last year. You can navigate it easily with swipes (in four directions) as well as via two buttons at the bottom of the screen.
Cherry Watch N5 is now officially available at select Cherry Mobile stores and kiosks across the country. Incredibly, you can get it for only Php 1,999, making it a perfect accessory for consumers who may be on a tight budget but are not willing to sacrifice style and functionality in the devices that purchase with their hand-earned money.

For those who are asking, yes, Cherry Watch N5 indeed has a front-facing camera. It's VGA and you can also use it to record 320 x 240 pixels resolution videos. It's not particularly the clearest camera out there but you have to admit, this is a real treat for a smartwatch that's this affordable.
The polycarbonate back cover of Cherry Watch N5 is removable, giving you access to the swappable 300 mAh battery delivering up to a day of uptime with regular use as well as the microSIM and microSD card (up to 32GB) slots!
Supporting both 2G and 3G connections via microSIM card, Cherry Watch N5 lets you make calls and send text messages without having to be paired with a smartphone! Although composing an SMS is a bit challenging on such a small display, making calls is quite easy when you use the earphones-with-mic that comes with the package.
The watch's strap is made of rubber and is available in two colors: Black and White.
