Lenovo K4 Note Price Starts at $180 USD, Comes with Free VR Headset!
Lenovo K4 Note - as its name suggests - is the 2016 upgrade to last year's midrange best-seller Lenovo K3 Note also known as Lenovo A7000 Plus in some key markets, including the Philippines.
This model has just been released in India with an official SRP of 12,499 Rupees or roughly $180 USD, which is more or less the same as that of its predecessor upon launch.
Update: Lenovo K4 Note is now available in the Philippines!
In terms of design, the K4 Note - for me - clearly represents an upgrade from last year's model. Whereas A7000 and A7000 Plus both had shells made purely of polycarbonate, the 2016 refresh now flaunts a real metal side frame making it look and feel more durable and elegant.
Interestingly, though, K4 Note has a more rounded look, which is obviously reminiscent of popular Asus ZenFone models. Is this to attract current ZenFone owners to jump to Lenovo? You tell me.
Apart from its refreshed design and the all-new fingerprint scanner at the back that the owner can use to instantly unlock the phone, many things about Lenovo K4 Note are - frankly - just similar to what's on the 2015 model.
You get the same 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display, 13 MegaPixel autofocus main camera with Dual Tone LED flash, 5 MegaPixel front cam, Full HD video recorder, Dolby Atmos sound enhancement, 4G LTE mobile connectivity support, and Dual SIM Dual Standby (Dual microSIM) capability. What's cool, however, is that K4 Note has 3,300 mAh battery pack that's bigger than what powers A7000 Plus, if a bit.
Under the hood, Lenovo K4 Note runs its Vibe-UI-skinned Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system with a 64-Bit Octa Core 1.3 GHz ARM Cortex A53 and Mali-T720MP3 GPU based MediaTek MT6753 chipset (which is ever slightly less powerful than MT6752 powering A7000 Plus), has 3GB of RAM for smooth multitasking, and has 16GB of expandable storage for photos, videos, and other content.
Needless to say, in terms of gaming performance, raw power, and user interface, Lenovo K4 Note is largely the same as the phone it superseded.
Here's a cool add-on that comes with the Lenovo K4 Note: A free VR Headset! Lenovo wants users to experience virtual reality on this device paired with this accessory as well as supported pre-installed software. Now, that's something different.
Expect Lenovo K4 Note or Lenovo A7010 to land in the Philippines within the next few weeks. Lenovo Philippines has yet to release information about this model but I'm guessing it should don a price tag in the range of Php 8,500 to Php 9,500 when it becomes available locally.

You'll still be able to enjoy many Vibe UI innovations like Knock to Light, Wide Touch, and Flip to Sleep on Lenovo K4 Note. Of course, Fingerprint Gestures are now supported.
