Asus ZenFone Zoom Philippines Review Package Arrives in TechPinas HQ!
In my eight years of being a technology blogger, I've received many cool gadget review units and packages. This one right here - from Asus Philippines - is definitely one of the most well-prepared.
The media kit is so special it was even bubble-wrapped. I appreciate that.
And apparently, TechPinas is the first Filipino tech blog to receive such package. Ain't that something? I'm very grateful.
Expect to see my full review of this incredible imaging-centric smartphone within the next few days. And yes, I'll also compare it with my Nokia Lumia 1020; I'm sure many of you will love that.
They sent me their new imaging-powerhouse Asus ZenFone Zoom to experience and compare with my other great cameraphones. It's beautiful; A joy to hold and behold.

"See The World Up Close"
The box obviously contained more than just the review unit.
Removing the outer case revealed this note.
"The world is a big place with endless things to explore and experience. But the best stories are often hidden in the details and easy to overlook. With the ZenFone Zoom, you can See What Others Can't See - with true 3x optical zoom, it comes with powerful Intel Atom processor and has a thin form factor to ensure that wherever you go, you never miss an incredible moment. Now, no matter what your passion is, you'll always be able to capture the stores within the details. The Search for Incredible has never been so easy. See the World Up Cose. See your passions in rich detail. And then keep zooming."
Check out the complete kit.
Stunning.
Meet Zenny! Introduced at ZenFestival 2015 in Jakarta, Indonesia, Zenny - who's an owl - is Asus' new mascot, 'guiding them to the future'.
Asus included these Zencredible cards to help me in reviewing ZenFone Zoom. Looks like I'll have to take Zenny out and snap photos of him in various scenes using the smartphone.
Now, let's take the ZenFone Zoom box out.
A true high-end release. Asus ZenFone Zoom comes in this elegant black box, different from the packaging design of ZenFone 2, ZenFone Selfie, and other 2015 models.
The device's key technical specifications are listed on this white sticker at the bottom. I have Asus ZenFone Zoom ZX551ML with 2.5 GHz Intel Atom Z3590 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. It's an LTE-enabled 5.5-inch Full HD Android Lollipop smartphone.
The standard retail package includes the unit itself, travel charger, microUSB to USB connector cable, earphones, extra silicone buds, and wrist strap.
The strap is made of genuine leather with real metal accents.
The stereo headphones have in-ear silicone buds and microphone for making calls.
For those who are wondering, the removable back plate of Asus ZenFone Zoom flaunts genuine Italian Leather. The Asus and Intel logos are heat-pressed into it while the protruding strip at the bottom keeping the phone from rocking when you put in on the table is hand-woven.
The luxurious rear design is complemented by the opulent CNC-prepared Aluminum frame that gives the device an air of durability and corporate sophistication.
Asus ZenFone Zoom is now available at select Asus Concept Stores and authorized retail partners across the country. You can get it for Php 26,995 and it's out in just one color: Black.
