Apple iPhone SE, Now Available in the Philippines via Kimstore
Great news for hardcore Apple fans in the Philippines who want to get hold of the much-talked-about iPhone SE ahead of their geeky workmates and buddies!
Kimstore - my trusted online store - is now taking orders for the said handset; Just a few hours after the device was launched in the Cupertino company's priority markets including the United States, Japan, and UK.
As of today - April 1, 2016, Kim's prices for the iPhone SE are still quite steep but that's only because of the rather low supply and very high demand for the product. "We're doing our best to import units for those who want to grab them as early as now -- but that comes with a premium," shared a Kimstore staff.
For those who are interested, you can purchase Apple iPhone SE 16GB (in Gold, Rose Gold, Silver, or Space Grey) at Kimstore for Php 23,500. Prepare to shell out Php 27,500 for the 64GB version that's currently only available in Rose Gold.
If you're not too eager to buy your unit, though, you might want to hold out for another month and wait for the prices 'normalize'. I'm expecting the smartphone to become even more affordable at Kimstore once the model gets released through Apple's network partners in the Philippines. No word yet on when exactly that will happen, though -- but I'm guessing the device should land here within this month or early in May.
Meanwhile, in the US, many Apple fans have already gotten hold of the iPhone SE! In Palo Alto Apple Store, the company's CEO - Tim Cook himself - congratulated loyal customers who got hold of their units on the phone model's launch date.
Looking almost exactly like the grasp-and-pocket-friendly Apple iPhone 5S (plus having the same 4-inch 1136 x 640 pixels Retina Display and 1.2MP FaceTime HD front camera), the new Apple iPhone SE (with matte chamfered edges) shares the same Apple A9 processor with M9 co-processor and 12 MegaPixel iSight camera with Live Photos support as what you'll find on the bigger and more expensive Apple iPhone 6s.
