Huawei P9 Lite Price in the Philippines is Php 12,490 : Here Are Its Specs and Actual Unit Photos
As its name suggests, Huawei P9 Lite is the watered down and hence, more affordable version of the Chinese electronics company's 2016 flagship Android smartphone.
Huawei P9 Lite and Huawei P9, respectively.
Priced at only Php 12,490, mid-level model Huawei P9 Lite lets budget-conscious consumers experience a handful of the features that are present on the much more expensive top-of-the-line release.
For instance, P9 Lite's design language is largely the same as that of P9. And though it lacks a full metal shell, P9 Lite has an anodized aluminum mid-frame which somehow exudes the same air of elegance and durability.
Although P9 Lite is far more wallet-friendly, Huawei also managed to give it a Fingerprint Scanner at the back just like its more expensive siblings. This sensor lets you unlock the handset with but a touch of a finger.
Both P9 and the Lite version are powered a non-removable 3,000 mAh Li-Ion battery pack.
Another thing that the Lite version shares with the regular P9 is its 5.2-inch Full HD IPS display, which looks clear, brilliant, and crisp when viewed from various angles.
Now, let's talk about the high-end features that P9 Lite lacks in comparison to the flagship.
The most notable exclusion on the Lite version is the powerhouse Leica-approved Dual Camera set-up, which is the biggest selling point of the Huawei P9.
Nonetheless, when I got the chance to play with Huawei P9 Lite and its cameras during the device's launch last June, I found that both its 13 MegaPixel autofocus shooter at the back and 8 MegaPixel front cam for selfies are very reliable even indoors and in relatively low light conditions.
Also, whereas Huawei P9 is equipped with the company's beastly HiSilicon Kirin 955 chipset, Lite runs its EmotionUI-flavored Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with the a powerful HiSilicon Kirin 650 processor. Both the base version of P9 and P9 Lite, however, have the same 3GB of RAM delivering noticeably smooth multitasking experience.
The other features and specifications of Huawei P9 Lite are pretty standard for a 2016 Android handset release by an international brand in this price echelon. It has Dual SIM Dual Standby capability, 16GB of storage that's expandable via secondary hybrid nanoSIM slot, and 4G LTE Cat6 support.
Available in three colors - namely, Gold, Black, and White, Huawei P9 Lite is now available at all Huawei Concept Stores and authorized retail channels across the archipelago.
Considering everything that P9 Lite has to offer, I believe this model is a strong contender this year in the midrange price bracket. This one's definitely worth checking out.

Users also get the same position of hardware buttons on the P9 and P9 Lite. Both the power button and volume rocker are on the right panel -- giving easy access using the thumb for right-handed users and the index finger for left-handed ones.

Another thing you'll miss on the P9 Lite is the USB Type C port of the flagship. The more affordable version still sports a microUSB 2.0 port (which could be a good thing especially when it comes cross compatibility).
