Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus with Free VR Headset and Remote Controller, Out Now in the Philippines
Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus is the smaller and more affordable model of the two upper midrange smartphones that Lenovo Mobile Philippines officially launched via the exclusive media event held at the Shangri-La Hotel at the Fort in BGC.
This one sells for only Php 8,999 and for that amount, you already get the complete retail package along with a free Theater Max VR headset and wireless controller.

According to Mr. Vincent dela Cruz, Marketing Manager of Lenovo Mobile Philippines, Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus is great for users who prefer having a smaller handset that's nonetheless big on features and delivers good performance.
There are five things I really like about this model:
1. Premium design and build
2. Ultra crisp display
3. Good technical specifications
4. Dolby Atmos technology
5. VR Experience support
Flaunting a real metal backplate and coming in three elegant colors - namely Gold, Silver, and Grey, Vibe K5 Plus - I believe - is one of the best-looking handsets in its price bracket currently.
The smartphone sports a 5-inch Full HD IPS display panel with 441 ppi pixel density making it super clear and brilliant -- perfect for viewing photos and watching high-definition movies.
Under its shell, Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus runs its Vibe UI flavored Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system with a 64-Bit Octa Core Qualcomm MSM8939v2 Snapdragon 616 processor, handles multitasking with 2GB of RAM, and comes with 16GB of internal storage that you can easily augment using the microSD card expansion slot.
The device has Dual SIM Dual Standby capability (two microSD card slots) and supports fast 4G LTE mobile connectivity via both Smart Communications and Globe Telecom.
As for its imaging capabilities, Vibe K5 Plus has a 13 MegaPixel autofocus camera at the back with LED flash and a 5 MegaPixel fixed focus front cam for selfies.
I find the rear cam to be pretty reliable especially when its used in well-lit settings or when there's ample ambient light. Color replication is decent and details are captured nicely. It's hardly the best camera on a smartphone out there but you can certainly count on this for taking food shots or landscape photos that are instantly ready for sharing on social networking sites.
I've used many, many smartphones with good front cam and I have to say that the Beauty Mode of Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus' selfie shooter is one of the best out there.
Another cool thing about this smartphone is that it comes with Dolby Atmos software that enhances the user's music-listening or movie-viewing experiencing by letting him or her choose from pre-set audio profiles or to meticulously tweak various elements of the sound using dials and toggles.
As I've said, Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus comes with free VR headgear and remote controller that work with the company's Theater Max technology that turns any movie or game into a more immersive VR experience.
If you're wondering, the headgear is made of durable plastic and has soft cushion at the back to make it more comfortable to wear. The remote controller, on the other hand, allows you to navigate the phone's interface or to click on-screen buttons even while you're wearing the handset in front of your eyes. You can even use the controller to snap photos or to click on app icons without having to touch the phone's screen.
