Meizu M3 Max Price is RMB 1,699 or Php 11,850 : 6-inch Octa-Core Phablet with 4,100 mAh Battery
This sleek new Android smartphone is making me wish that Novo7Tech - former official distributor of Meizu smartphones in the Philippines - were still active.
But as you know, the company's management has decided to close all of their stores and put their operations on hold (temporarily or perhaps, for good) earlier this year.
So I guess we'll just have to wait and see which online seller would be the first to offer the Meizu M3 Max locally. I'm hoping Kimstore would be interested.
As of writing, the only Meizu handset that Kim has for customers is the Meizu M1 Note, which remains to be one of my favorite Android smartphones currently.
Donning an SRP of 1,699 Renminbi in China or Php 11,850 with current conversion and before taxes, the freshly announced Meizu M3 Max is a large-screen phablet that's big on imaging capabilities, internal hardware, and uptime.
Let's talk specs.
This phablet sports a massive 6-inch Full HD IPS display that should provide an enjoyable web-browsing and movie-viewing experience, a 13 MegaPixel autofocus camera at the back with Dual Tone LED flash, a 5MP front cam for selfies, Full HD video recorder, and a sizable 4,100 mAh non-removable battery pack that delivers more than a whole day of uptime with regular use on a full charge.
Under the hood, Meizu M3 Max runs its FlyMe-OS-5.2 skinned Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with a 64-Bit 1.8 GHz Octa Core ARM Cortex A53 and Mali-T860 MP2 based MediaTek Helio P10 processor, has 3GB of RAM, and comes with 32GB of storage that's expandable through the secondary hybrid nanoSIM slot.
Apart from its specs, Meizu M3 Max's design and build are also noteworthy. The device has a svelte real-metal shell with chamfered edges that make it look more attractive. Along with the 2.5D curved scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass face, this enclosure makes the phablet look and feel both durable and far more expensive than it actually is.
With dimensions of 163.4 x 81.6 x 7.94 mm and weighing 189 grams, Meizu M3 Max is available in three sophisticated colors, namely, Gold, Silver, and Grey.
Here's to hoping that this gorgeous phablet would be up for purchase in the Philippines soon! I'm challenging our Pinoy online sellers and even our friends from Novo7Tech (if there's still thinking about returning to the handset game) to bring Meizu M3 Max here and to offer reliable after-sales support for the device.

The handset is equipped with a Fingerprint Scanner that's embedded on the home button. This feature has pretty much become a staple in midrange and high-end Android smartphones this year.
