Starmobile Up Sense Price is Php 4,290 : Has a Fingerprint Scanner
Hot on the heels of their successful Php 1,288 Smart Play Click Prepaid Bundle, 'Proudly Pinoy' electronics company Starmobile - today - officially announced a new midrange Android smartphone that I believe would be great for students, young professionals, and even SME business owners who are on the look-out for an affordable handset that's both secure and feature-packed.
Sporting a fingerprint scanner right on its home button in front and donning an SRP of only Php 4,290, the new Starmobile Up Sense is yet another representation of the company's desire to make the latest technological innovations available to Filipinos for less.
According to Starmobile's Product Development Head - Mr. Michael Chen, "The UP Sense lets you use the most secure tool that you have in your possession 24/7 to lock your device and control access to your apps and private files—your very own fingerprint. We aim to give you peace of mind that only you will have access to your smartphone's content."
What are some benefits of a fingerprint scanner, you ask?
Aside from letting you quickly unlock your smartphone with but a touch of a finger, it also prevents other people from accessing your personal files and content that are in your device without your knowledge. This is particularly handy if you have nosy roommates or family members who secretly check your smartphone while you're out or in the shower. Also - God forbid - if somebody steals your handset or you lose it, it adds an additional layer of protection to keep others from getting hold of your social media accounts, photos, videos, or private messages.
Apart from being big on security features, Starmobile Up Sense also has pretty decent technical specifications given its price.
The handset is equipped with a 5-inch HD IPS display underneath 2.5D Curved glass panel, an 8 MegaPixel autofocus camera at the back with LED flash, 2MP front cam for selfies, Full HD video recorder, Dual SIM Dual 3G switching capability, and a fairly large 2,500 mAh Li--Po battery pack delivering up to 13 days of standby and 12.5 hours of talk time.
Inside, it runs its Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with a 1.3 GHz Quad Core ARM Cortex A7 and Mali 400MP GPU based MediaTek MT6580 processor, has 1GB of RAM, and comes with 8GB of internal storage that can be beefed up using the dedicated microSD card expansion slot.
With dimensions of 143 x 70.5 x 8 mm and weighing 145 grams, Starmobile UP Sense will be up for purchase at all Starmobile concept stores, kiosks, and authorized retail partners nationwide next week (September 18 - 23, 2016). The handset is available in three elegant colors, namely, Champagne Gold, Space Grey, and Rose Gold.
