Hyundai Aero Plus Android Smartphone, Launched in the Philippines
Korean company Hyundai is known in many parts of the world primarily as an automobile maker -- but actually, that's not the only industry they're in.
Hyundai crafts other products from chips to ships and is also active in aerospace engineering and even finance, among many others.
One venture that the company recently entered is manufacturing of full touchscreen smartphones. Hence, the creation of Hyundai Mobile.
To quote the brand, "Hyundai Mobile is all about possibilities; to discover them and turn them into reality. The essence of our brand is innovation and making the latest technology accessible to every customer around the world."
In the Philippines, Hyundai Mobile's official distribution partner is Cellprime Distribution Corporation (Cellprime), one of the fastest-growing Pinoy mobile technology companies.
On Tuesday - November 29, 2016, via an exclusive media event held at the Hyundai Showroom of the Autohub Group in Makati City, Cellprime officially launched the gorgeous powerhouse Hyundai Aero Plus Android Smartphone.
According to Mr. Eric Yu, President of Cellprime, “Our partnership with Hyundai has enabled us to bring compelling smartphone devices to Filipinos, such as the Hyundai Aero Plus, the first smartphone designed as a gentleman’s accessory and essential daily companion. With the Hyundai Mobile brand, CellPrime is set to attract the country’s population of young achievers, empowering us to fulfill the smartphone needs of every lifestyle."
Tagged as 'the proper phone for the proper man', Hyundai Aero Plus flaunts a stunning design identity reminiscent of a luxury car’s silhouette, which is complemented by good technical specifications for its price.
This handset sports a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display protected by 2.5D Curved Dragontrail Glass, a 21 MegaPixel PDAF ISOCELL main camera at the back, 8 MegaPixel front cam for selfies, Dual SIM Dual Standby capability, 4G LTE-A support, and a 3,000 mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery with wireless charging support.
Under the hood, both variants of this smartphones are powered by a 64-Bit 2GHz Octa Core MediaTek Helio P10 processor with ARM Mali-T860 MP2 GPU and are equipped with a hybrid secondary nanoSIM slot that also supports microSD card memory expansion. The Php 13,990 model has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage while the other one that goes for Php 15,990 has 4GB of RAM along with 64GB of ROM.
Hyundai Aero Plus will become available at all official distribution channels of Cellprime - including LazadaPH - starting on December 7, 2016. And as a Yuletide treat, Hyundai Mobile will also be giving away a Hyundai Aero Plus to the first ten (10) buyers of Hyundai Tucson from Hyundai Pasong Tamo.
Given how crowded the mobile scene has become here in the Philippines, I think it's great that Hyundai Mobile has chosen a reliable distribution partner in Cellprime and has opted to focus on a very specific target market to give themselves a good fighting chance. If they keep doing things right and coming up with stellar handsets that give great value for money, they can definitely achieve some level of success -- even if the odds are against them in this territory.
