Starmobile Engage Aura is a 14-inch Windows 10 Laptop : Silver Version Sells for Php 7,990
Crafted to help students and young professionals be more productive on the go, the new Starmobile Engage Aura is the first full-fledged notebook from the proudly Pinoy electronics company.
In February 2015, Starmobile - in partnership with Intel and Microsoft - released the Engage 10 Pro Windows tablet with keyboard dock that allowed it to work like a laptop. It was a two-in-one device.
But the Starmobile Engage Aura represents the brand's initial foray into this altogether different product category; One that's dominated by international brands like Asus, Acer, HP, and Lenovo. Is it any good? I can't wait to try it out myself.
What I particularly love about this laptop is how affordable it is.
It sells for only Php 7,990, giving students who are on a very tight budget a chance to own their own notebook for school and play. No need to fall in computer shops and internet cafes just to get assignments, papers, and projects done.
While Starmobile Engage Aura is far from being a hardcore gaming laptop with beastly specs and graphics card, it's definitely good enough working on Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint files. You can also use it for browing the web, blogging, watching online videos, and running non-specs-intensive software and games.
Talking about technical specifications, the laptop runs Windows 10 OS a 1.9 Ghz Quad Core Intel Atom Cherry Trail Z8350 processor, has 2GB of DDR3L RAM, and comes with 32GB of ROM that can be beefed up using the dedicated microSD card slot supporting up to 64GB. Sporting a 14-inch WXGA 1,366 x 768 pixels screen, this device is powered by a 9,000 mAh battery pack delivering up to 7 hours of video playback and 210 hours of standby.
Flaunting a sleek polycarbonate shell with metallic sheen and weighing around 3 lbs, Starmobile Engage Aura Silver version will be available exclusively from LazadaPH at a discounted price of only Php 7,990 starting on December 7, 2016. A Limited Edition Gold version be up for purchase at Starmobile concept stores, kiosks, and partner dealers nationwide come 4th week of December for Php 9,990.
